*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

Proud owner of a 32gb Wifi model here, but I saw the Jake Humphreys F1 thing today. Man, that is some of the worst product placement I have ever seen. I cringed at the bit at the beginning where he says "Here, I want to show you this video."

ok, i've done the math, it takes pretty much 7 hours to charge the thing from zero to 100% with zero use. 7 hours !!!! That's some slow charging via that 5v USB port.

How does iphone.tvcatchup.com work on the Ipad? Im guessing it works on it?

Looks rather decent i guess on my itouch. (of course the camera doesn't show it. But ye

Works great on the iPad, It displays the video in the Safari window but you can then full screen it from there. Quality is alright and watchable ;)

How do you view it full screen?
Edit: Nevermind found it!

Curiously, iplayer doesn't have a fullscreen button for some reason.

But if you use the plug adapter given in the box its much quicker.... right?

I use the plug adaptor that came with my iPhone.

Also I just found out, when plugged into the Mac and if it's asleep, it doesn't charge it at all! It charges the iPhone when the Mac is asleep but not the iPad.

Ok, that's not right!

Took me 5hrs to fully charge it using the mains from it turning off with no battery left.

The screen is a bugger to keep clean! Even using a specsavers wipe it still is a pain :(

It requires 10v - so if you use the actual iPad charger it should only take around 3 hours.

The iPhone charger is only 5v.

Only USB's on certain recent Mac's output enough power to properly charge the iPad.

I use the one that came with my Panny G10, works wonders in a couple of wipes! Still have finger marks on the iPad after I've used it but a quick clean every few goes is what I do!

You can't really see the finger marks when the screen is on, only when its off and reflecting your face off of it!

Do you mean 10 watts ?

Standard USB ports only supply 500mA so they haven't got enough power to charge the iPAD

I've just recieved my 3 sim card (want to switch to the £7.50 plan from the £10 o2 one) - anyone know how I go about switching? can I re-invoke the signup interface directly on the iPad and do I have to call o2 and cancel?

Right, since I posted the above question, I have literally been on the phone non-stop trying to get through to someone (anyone would have done!) to get my 3 sim activated...

The phone system chucks you round in circles (literally, you think you've done enough options to give you the exact person you need, then it quite calmly sticks you back at the first menu!!!!!)

Regardless, have no idea how to get set up on 3, if anyone has done this I'd appreciate a leg up :)
