*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

Are you serious? £5.00 a month for instant wireless sync of your e-mail, calendars, address books, notes and bookmarks across your laptops, PCs and iPhone is "stupid money"?

How much do you pay for a pint of beer?

How much did you pay for your Apple hardware...? ;)
When GoogleSync does it all for free, yeah, silly. :p

I'm trying out MobileMe at the moment and I'm really not sure it's worth the money.
I use AtomicWeb for browsing which can sync with Firefox in a couple of clicks.
I use FlickrStackr for photos (Flickr Pro account)
I use dropbox for file storage
I use gmail for

how does atomicweb sync with Firefox???

I have a 3G version on the O2 tariff. The O2 website says this comes with access to the cloud and BT openzone wifi hotspots. The thing is I cant figure out how to log in on the cloud portal page. With my iPhone the home page had a place for me to type in my mobile number but with the iPad it asks for a username an password. I tried my email address and pw that I used to sign up with O2 but that did not work.

Have taken a look at the O2 website and called them but no joy (they say the home page should ask for my iPad phone number but it does not).

If any one is on the O2 tarrif and can point me in the right direction it would be a great.

Cheers

Dont get me wrong. I love the iPad, but as I said before, a complete luxury which I can do without.
Infact I found myself the other day at a course, still using my iPhone when my iPad was infront of me!

I wouldn't dream of taking mine back. Am using it for everything now. I posted a blog article last night via Blogpress, sent a long email to someone, and then used dropbox to read a couple of PDFs. It's perfect imo.
