Just spent nigh on £50 getting the Powersupport anti glare screen protector of ebay :(

I best get it right first time around as that only gets you one try :eek:
 
Well I caved and bought a 32gig wifi iPad today. I'm posting from it now :)
Need to find an apple case for it now, I want the official one as it doesn't add much bulk to the iPad and i like it's resting positions. None at the store I bought the iPad from and the apple site says four weeks....

I can finally not sit at my desk all evening when I want to browse the web, although i do have an iPhone, it's just too small for web browsing.
 
Just chance it, when i asked they say they have no idea when they'll be in stock, i went in 3 days later and they had about 10 on the shelf at lunch time.
 
love my ipad its just such a good device and perfect for the net, so much so it almost makes computers obsolete for the net if u see where im comin from ? !, anyways getting an intellishield for mine, amazing stuff £30 but makes my ipad scratch proof :D

£30 =/ What exactly is it, as in it just a sheet or a liquid covering? And where are you getting it from

only thing being that you cant download anything from weblinks........nor play flash videos/animations which a lot of big companies are using on their websites........
 
I have the official apple case and it's excellent. The iPad is a very snug fit inside it.
I wasn't convinced at first but after using the pad in it's case for the last couple of weeks, I can say that it's extremely useful. The ability to prop the pad up at about 30 degrees in landscape make it very easy to use on a table.

Think it dependS on the model you order as some have been waiting for the 16 and 32gb models for a while yet the 64gb can be had in a week with apple
 
Need some advice about getting an ipad

Im consistently stuck in my office working on my mac pro and want to get away from the desk.

Prob is i do a lot of web design/bloggin.

How would the ipad help? I don't want to sit downstairs with an laptop or something but want to be able to do a lot of work easily, any place or time.

So im kind of stuck betwen ipad or mbp/mb?

Also what is it like to type on?

Just wanted to be more sociable but not have to lugg a laptop around on my lap etc.
 
Decided I don't like the apple case and have gone back to the Belkin case I got initially, think now I'll just wait for the screen protector to arrive and leave it as that; might get something for the back if I see anything I really like (those bamboo ones are tempting......)

I just got Logmein Ignition, really god, i wasn even playing video on it !!! though it was a bit jumpy.

It even can see my dual monitors too.
 
so how do you control the system the other end? touch like the start button or dock icon or draf the mouse about? hows lag?
 
Just got an email from apple saying my 64gb iPad has been dispatched, due on or before the 25th. Does it usually take that long after dispatch to arrive?
