theres a new store opening soon/now in London thats meant to have the biggest stock pile of ipads ;)
 
Just found a scratch of my iPad, right next to the light sensor, not on the viewable screen at least but hell annoying, been in a case since day 1!
 
Guys, I just got my iPad yesterday... Could anybody point me in the direction of a few must have apps? Thanks.

Well I didn't think I was going to do it, but I jailbroke my iPad last night.

I've only installed backgrounder + Proswitcher HD but am pretty impressed with how well it works. Especially as Proswitcher is still in alpha.

Not sure I'm going to really use the jailbreak for anything else, I've been looking for other apps that might be of use but haven't come across any yet!

Don't install winterboard. Borked my ipad so much I had to restore.

yer i got rid of winterboard.

I still have a few problems though, some after jailbreak (just a few springboard crashes)

But otherwise its like im on youtube and it just closes the app and the same on safari.. if im going through facebook pictures for example,
yesterday i couldn't get onto natwest website without it closing down. Can anyone try this please.

Still very impressed with the battery life, i forgot to put it on charge one night and it still had 30% battery by morning (had my alarm on) think it dropped around 30% battery
 
Haha success, my mate just picked up a apple camera connection kit from the states for me, just tried it out on my sanyo xacti HD camcorder and nikon d80 Raws and jpegs and it imports them all, honest to jobs i didnt think it would import the 720p video but it does lol

Depends on your area, but Three are pretty good for 3G coverage and speeds. Great value. There's a 3GB for £20 (valid for 3 months) PAYG deal for the iPad too. Depends how much data you're using, but that's a pretty good deal for moderate use.
 
I updated my Ipad to 3.2.2 yesterday and now cannot sync photos from my PC to the device. The update status bar does not change from moving chevrons, even if I leave it for an hour.

I have restored my Ipad and successfully synced everything but photos. If I try to sync even one folder with about five pictures in, the thing hangs.

Has anyone else experienced this ?

have you got them to sync in itunes ???? i no thats sounds daft but i had this a few week ago when my iPad should have been syncing with my Aperture folders but i didnt tick the right box in itunes
 
Thanks Steve, I have ticked the box in Itunes.

I have finally managed to get it to sync by deleting the folder "Ipod Photo Cache" in the windows Pictures directory. Itunes took a while to rebuild it,( there are about 7,500 photos) and it has sync'd correctly.

At the moment I am suspecting that the file corruption was due to my system rather than the Itunes update.

Got an iPad for my stepdad's Bday the other day...got to say it's pretty cool. Totally new to apple and so far really loving the iPad.

However, I haven't purchased a screen for it yet and am moving to the states in a few days so already have my address forwarded, so can't have anything shipped here. Can anyone recommend a decent case/stand that i can pick up from a high street store or maybe even the airport?
