3G means you can use the internet when you are away from a WiFi network, that is all.

I bought a 16GB WiFi edition on thursday, with one of the Smart cover thingies. But I'm struggling to find a dock that I can use while it has the cover on, does anyone know of one? I only want a charging dock. No real budget to speak of.

I wish it was that easy, but Apple in their wisdom seem to have made a dock that means the smartcover would be swinging about, rather than tucked around the back, like it normally would.

I have one, seems to fit with the smart cover on. Pretty easy to just take it off though.

Just got an iPad2, what do people view as the best Office app? I want to read/write Word mainly, but also the odd Excel document.

Also bear in mind if you have a smart phone that can act as a Wifi spot (iPhone/Android device) you can use 3G via that (avoiding the extra cost and additional data SIM charges).

I got the Wifi version with a MiFi from 3 for 3G. I use a PAYG SIM and it's a lot cheaper an I can connect up my laptop as well.

Ah, that helps a lot. So I could use my iPhone for the internet and only buy the WiFi version, thus avoiding the increased price of the 3g version. Thanks!

You don't need anything, or to be jailbroken, the setting is on first screen of Settings.

Ah ha, I found it. Unfortunately it requires me to change tarrif as I'm still on one of the old unlimited data ones. There's probably a jailbreak way to do it I guess.

After reading reviews, I bought Quickoffice Pro HD. It's fairly limited but it does the job and the Dropbox integration is nice.

Pages - £6.99
Numbers - £6.99

Really impressive apps. Whilst we're at it, the remaining app in the series is Keynote which is the PowerPoint equivalent, also priced at £6.99.

Just got my iPad 2, I can't believe i have waited this long, its awesome.

So far I have Worms HD, Beatwave and Flipboard - can anyone reccommend anything that I should try app wise? I don't need any office productivity, just fun/geek/game stuff

Does the GB expire after a certain amount of time? Im wanting to get this and saw some has the expiry on the GB after a certain amount of months.

Sorry just not sure how it works, anyone got anymore info on this? Would be good to have a compaitable ipad 3g and laptop connectivity also.

If you have a phone that can create a wifi network you do not need to get the 3G version of the iPad as you can just share your phones connection!

For this reason and cloud storage I just got the wifi 16gb version

Yes, there is an expiry, the allowance that came with the MiFi expires after 3 months if you don't use it all up. Any new allowance you buy expires after 30 days - this PAYG btw.

If you like Trials HD on PSN or XBLA have a look at 'Xtreme Wheels'. Also have a look at 'Cut the rope: experiments', 'robotto' and 'reckless racing hd'

I just had a little download yesterday on the cheap with Ashphalt 6 for 69p and NBA JAM (oh my god what a game!) for £1.49 - I'll check out the Xtreme wheels and CTR-E later
