Will the Apple Stores be having them in stock? Because if they do, surely to get one on release, early start + going to an Apple Store will net you one?
Doh!
Forgot to use quidco for my order... considered cancelling and replacing the order but just noticed the delivery date is pushed back to 7th June now...
Hopefully I'm in the first batch, my email clearly says "Delivers by May 28th" so fingers crossed. Dont know if anyones clocked this, but if it doesn't come on the 28th, the Monday's a bleedin' bank holiday so it'll be Tuesday - not 100% if they intend to send them out, or get them to us on the 28th?
Sad isn't it, if I would be willing to wait until the 7th, I could save my £18 through quidco... am I going to?
...
nope
And yet we still buy their products
(But to be fair, this is not something expected of Apple as they are usually quality products no?)
£70 for double is pretty good value. Just think about what your be putting on it. Like im guessing more movies then music as you have your iPhone.I've decided to get one, I just can't make my mind up which version.
16GB should be enough, but the extra £70 for double the capacity is decent value imo.
I can't think whether I need a 3G or not either. I'll be mainly using it to take to client meetings so I guess I'm going to have to. I just don't like the idea of another monthly bill on top of my iPhone contract.
Argh!
Probably no music at all because that's all on my iPhone, as you said (I even have an iPod if I want to take my full music collection with me).£70 for double is pretty good value. Just think about what your be putting on it. Like im guessing more movies then music as you have your iPhone.
So you can still put a few movies on a 16GB with plenty of applications and such.
Forgot how much the monthly cost is, £10 or something? On top of the £100 more or so for the 3G version. Its rather expensive. Though it is great thing to have as there's not to many public wi-fi spots.
I personally will probably go with the 16gb wi-fi only version and try to get a mate to get me one when in america. I can use JoikuSpot on my Nokia 5800 to make a wi-fi hotspot. Not the quickest thing ever but it works from my phone to ipod touch
Just got to think about how much you will use it out and about and if its actually worth it i guess.Probably no music at all because that's all on my iPhone, as you said (I even have an iPod if I want to take my full music collection with me).
I would like to have a few movies/tv shows on it for commuting purposes (if I get the train anywhere for example) but I'm not talking loads and loads. 32GB would probably be just about right.
You're right about the £100 extra for the 3G though, especially when you factor in the extra monthly cost. Someone posted an O2 £10 a month tariff with unlimited internet, so that looks like the way to go if you're going down the 3G route.
So what started off me looking at the £429 16GB WiFi version will probably end up in me getting the £599 32GB 3G with a £10 monthly cost on top.
I just need to work out whether it's worth it. The extra £170 might not be that much, but I'm going to need to factor in a case for it and other accessories - it's all adding up
Decisions, decisions.
£10 a month 02 tariff seems perfect, i pay £15 a month for 3gig limit for my netbook now.
