The iPad Dock has ouput for the VGA cable.

720P looks fab on my 1024x720 Panasonic Plasma.

If you've bought an app already, you can sync it to the iPad, which will be display centered in the middle of the iPad or you can set the application to scale to the fullscreen of the device.

Don't forget that many apps are already on the store with 'launch special' pricing, so worth picking up (especially the free ones) on iTunes (via search) now in case the price rises by the time the iPad is released here.

They are cheap as well some of them, can we start discussing which ones look worth having!

Was just reading Dailytech about the overheating issues.
If what they've written down is correct, surely these things are going to be a pain to use?

"When the device heats up to over 113 degrees F it reportedly shuts off to protect itself."

Not really a big window there?

ummm, that's only 45c, not much at all really, I wonder why they shut down at such a low temp?

I'm glad the US got these first tbh as it gives us a chance to see what issues there are with the device.

That's what I thought.
I know we don't get massively high temperatures here, but there's plenty of time I could see it causing issue.
Would have thought they'd have got away with the cutoff temp being a little higher.

I got an offer from my brother last night, his good friend in America rang him to see if he wanted one, said no but would ask me! but I don't have the readies available!

Boooooooooooooooooo! :(

Nice phone.

Can it do 720P and to a Plasma/LCD?

Does Flash playback smooth?

Thanks. :) 720p will play in the media player fine, as for getting it to a screen, err, got no idea sorry.

Flash plays back smoothly for me since an update, in browser on whatever site, quite happily. To be honest though, the browser is the only real reason I still have the phone, the browser is really good compared to what else is available.

If a mobile browser came out that is a good as this on Andriod, or hell, even iPhone :o , I'd ditch this phone in a heartbeat and switch, as the rest of the N900 is a bit "meh". It does what its supposed to do, but its not exactly anything to shout about. But yeah, seeing as I use the browser so damn much on the phone since getting I won't accept a lesser browser anymore. :( Oh and Firefox Mobile (Fennec) is a bit "meh" too, before anyone suggests that. (someone always does). Misses a few things, no way of doing a mouse hover, or dragging a cursor onto the screen for example.
