I thought they maybe meant its how many tracks are available on itunes, just goes to show the people who write crap in papers have their head up their ass most if the time
 
Just making my obligatory 'posting on the porcelain' post :)

For those of you interested.... FT are doing an iPad version of the paper and it's free till end of July. It's quite a nifty app too btw!

Have to say typing on the onscreen keyboard on this thing is not bad! I'm actually typing at pretty much full speed with very little mistakes!
 
Crumbled and ordered one from the Apple store. Don't have time to go and hunt one down in the flesh. Says shipping in three days.
 
Got my 32gig 3g yesterday and am loving it! Web browsing is just sooo much better than my 3g iphone.

Quick question: I have purchased a couple of apps - both of which are on the second screen - when I click and hold to move them to the front screen, it won't let me. Is this normal? Any way I can move them to the first screen?
 
you can move them through iTunes too :) just click you iPad and on go to apps tab and move them from the little preview screen

but you should be able to do it manually, are you holding them till they start to shake?
 
Yeah, was doing that. Just restarted the iPad and its now letting me ... bit strange. Hopefully its just a one off glitch ... thanks for reply tho :)
 
Is it worth me picking two up from America this week and selling them over here when I get back?
 
to be honest now i really regret not buying the 64GB

when i think about it, it takes away the need for a portable dvd player too (which i use a lot when not at home).

after filling it with my music I thought I could put a ton of my tv shows and movies on it too, but i only have 6gb left :(

maybe sell this one to a relative and upgrade it next month

Buy anything from Apple, online or in store, you can return for full refund if you do so within 14 days of purchase, doesn't matter how much you've used it as long as it is still in perfect condition and you have the box/accessories.
 
2 things the iPad is missing for me.

USB port which I'm sure no one will argue with.

Built in card reader. The iPad would be perfect for that. I wouldn't even have minded, much, if it had been a proprietary Apple on so they could charge us a little bit more for the cards.

Other than that it's perfect until I think of something else it should have.
 
I agree, despite not owning an ipad, buying a bike instead :) that an SD card would be great, slap it in from a camera and have a look at which ones you want to keep.

The USB port, what would one plug into it?

Thats very good... gives me a little time to play with it and decide...

So far Im liking it... but I can see why some people seem to fall out of love with it...
 
I bought the 32GB one yesterday + apples fancy book case cover. I can understand how people could soon get bored of it but it's just a glorious bit of kit and over time as with the iPhone it will evolve into something even more special.

I'll be keeping mine, bought several books for it allready and looking forward to getting back to my main rig so I can sync all my iPhone goodies on it.

And yes it pretty much is just a big iPhone, I luv my iPhone so how can I not the pad. And Emma Watson looks amazing on that screen I tell ya !!!!
