Just be careful if your iPhone rings when you're holding the iPad. Slamming the iPad into the side of your face may hurt.

The only issue I have with the ipad is the weight, far too heavy. I suppose it's beause of the glass, battery and Alu which they probably have to use for passive cooling. I was hoping for a lighter device so I could use it like my phone in bed.

Phoned them up, asked if i could change to the £7.50/1Gb tariff, they said i could, the change would take place from next month, and to cater for the problems i had, they'd refund £7.50 for this month but still give me 10Gb for this month
Although strangely the My3 site says i have 12Gb to play with...
Either way, job done.
Just doing a full charge on the iPad now, after running it down last night (always do a 3 full discharges and charges when i get a new product to 'condition' the battery).
How long do they take to charge on average?

Does anyone know who has better 3g reception in the square mile? o2 or 3?
Also, if you exceed the 1GB limit on either do they charge you for anything additional or just cut you off for the remainder of the month?

Has anyone preordered the iPad and received it? I ordered 2, 2 weeks ago and it still yet to be dispatched.Probably Wednesday now at the earliest.
Was going to buy it in the states but no 3G ones in stock so just preordered it for UK delivery.
Actually wasnt contemplating getting one, as it is a luxury thing really. But when your on holiday, buying decisions are a lot less logical. I talked to my dad about it and he asked me to get him one, so I got one for myself while I was at it

But i know the 3 website has a map thing on it where you put in your post code and it tells you the coverage with maps...Im asuming the former.
A lot of us who preordered on May 10th and into May 11 have got theirs. When we ordered the delivery date was May 28th. After the initial preorder was sold out it went to June 7th as the shipping date. Now it's just June.
You get reminders at 20%, 10% and 0% of your allowance left.
After this you are prompted to 'top up' by adding another months worth of data.
Think that's it.

Not too impressed with the battery life so far! Fully charged Thursday night and it's now on 36%. I've used it a fair bit but did expect more!

Maybe I was just expecting more from what I've read! Apple site says 10hrs Internet browsing so I suppose that's why, I was expecting a lot more!
Well mine came out of the box almost fully charged, and it sync'd 40 odd Gb of data, lots of web browsing, few hours of streamed video off my media server, few games, and it was at 15% at 1AM last night. Not bad considering thats 8 hours of heavy-ish usage...and as said, still to 'condition' the battery too.
Maybe your battery just needs conditioning?

I did wonder whether you'd actually bought one after all.
For me, the iPad launch came and went without me really noticing. There seems to be some mixed reactions from those who have received theirs which is quite surprising, considering the length of time it has been out in the states which should have surely adjusted expectations accordingly?
Anyway, slightly jealous of those who have theirs - but not too much. Enjoy.
