Lowers testosterone levels, dehydrates you, and puts unnecessary strain on your liver and your ability to absorb nutrients, regenerate and build muscle. But the occaisional hair let down time isn't the end of the world.
 
so once in every couple of weeks it ain't a problem to get wasted. :D
what if let's say I drank a glass of wine daily? If I remembered correctly the French even recommend this, would that have even a tiny negative impact?
I mean I know that even if it were it would be tiny, I'm just being curious.
 
Being French and loving wine myself I'd be a hypocrite to say that it's not a good thing to do! :D Everything in moderation. Fortunately my base test levels are relatively high and I'm lucky I can get away with maybe a bit more abuse, but a glass of wine is going to have neglibile effect. It's about self control. :)
 
1st day back at gym today after 5 months of home training. I have gained 7lb probably fat ! 5'10 13.7 st

my home dumbells only went to 32kg and have done no squats for months

today I did

wide grip pull ups - 9,5,3,3,3 @ BW

squats 20k*12, 60k*12, 80k*12, 80k*12

BOR 40k*12,60k*8,65k*5,60k*8

incline bench press 32k(*2)*12, 35k*5, 30k*8 as soon as i went over 32k it was hard i guess body had got used to lifting 32kg !

standing military press 20k*12, 30k*12, 35k*8

donkey calf raises 3 sets of 15 with 12plates (60k?)

skullcushers 30k*12, 35k*8, 30k*9

standing ez-curl 30k*12,35k*12, 37.5K*8


I guess that ez-bar wieghs 10kg ? and 5ft Oly bar is 10kg?



I feel great going to to 3 full body workouts m/w/f for next 2 months to get back into it .

First day back today, loved it

Felt so weak though, could only manage 3 whole dips lol :(, usually do 3 sets of 10 as well :(

Anyone got any tips for improving my squat?

I have decent form according to the gym person, and go down to just below horizonal thighs.

At the moment I do:

6x60kg warmup
6x80kg
6x100kg
6x100kg
6x60kg

3 times a week, but I seem to be at a plateau as I've been at the 100kg max for ages and it doesn't seem to be getting easier.
 
Find it so frustrating when you can't even begin a set because you fail right at the beginning of it on the first rep!

Chest today, after pec dec warmup from 75kg upto 110KG (over 7 sets) 8 sets of press (flat, incline) and 8 sets of cable flies (flat, incline) I failed my heavy press with 45KG dumbells, that im usually good for 2 sets of 4 reps come this point :(

Been in the workshops today sanding which might explain it, plus had the weekend off, so missed my strength training.

However just measured my arms and chest after my chest workout and 8 sets of tricep isolation. 45" chest and 16" arms :D been edging closer and closer to 16" for ages, glad im finally there now! Also secured my summer job so an even bigger smile on my face!
