*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Looks like the leaked one was for real then, as it seems to be the same design.

It was quite obviously the real leaked one, question is was it an official leak? Most likely IMO.

Yup, it's the A4 but there was no mention of the speed and whether it's the same 1GHz as the iPad.

I doubt it would be clocked slower or there would be no actual hardware update between this and the 3Gs. We already know the GFX chip is the same (due to using the A4 processor) so any reducton in clock speed will mean alomost identical CPU as well.

From the last thread. Is that the price showing internally at o2 now or just a random guess?
Thats the price today and what it was at launch - soz just referring to the 3GS price...

Was hoping to get an idea re Mobile Me going free - guess its time to see how much I can sell my 32Gb 3GS for now - dno if I cba with the bay...

I cant wait to get this, currently on the 3G with O2 and out of contract. What would the deal be with going from a Carphone Whorehouse O2 contract and upgrading to a direct O2 iPhone 4 contract I wonder.

Did anyone who had video calling on their old phone use it? I don't think that I ever managed it. I'm looking forward to this, as I know a fair few of my mates will be getting it.

Can you stick your existing O2 iPhone sim into a PAYG iPhone 4 without any loss of functionality? Mine's a 3GS contract.

Same here! According to cnet you can cut your standard sim and not lose any functionality as the contact area is exactly the same as the micro sim, just more plastic. Theres videos of people doing this with the ipad and have proved it works.

I've had video calling on my phones for about the last 3-4 years, used it twice, for about 30 seconds each to test it with friend. That was the first and about only time they have used it either... :p

Definitely getting iPhone4, not being locked in a contract has it perks :). Just got to decide which network and where I'm going to que. Works out nicely as my shift pattern means I have 24 & 25th of June off :D.

Shame about no 64Gb, although with all the other improvements I'm not fussed.

Wonder if any of our networks will copy the AT&T early upgrade that Jobs mentioned? It still seems fundamentally silly to me that no-one who bought a 3Gs on contract can upgrade to a v4 on launch!

Just cut your sim down, go PAYG for iphone 4 and sell your 3GS, job done (in theory). All depends on the pricing though. If it stays around the current £500 mark and less than £600 then i'll hopefully be getting it.
