*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

After months of hesitation I finally upgraded from my 3g to the iPhone 4 :D

The case I used on my 3g was a Switcheasy Vulcan which I was more than satisfied with, so naturally I purchased a Switcheasy Vulcan for the 4. The screen protectors that come with the Vulcan aren't that clever TBH, IMHO.
After reading though several threads and reviews there seems to be none which stands out as a sure fire thing, but a work colleague has recommended a screen protector from The Carphone Warehouse called "Rocketfish" and I wondered whether anyone on here has used them?

No, not heard of the Rocketfish.
I went with an SGP Oleophobic, heard nothing but great things about them. Ordered one off the bay. Just wish my phone would turn up in the post now. :p

Ordered an SGP Oleophobic. Let me know whether you do a dry or wet install of the screen and if you're happy with the results. ;)

Yeah, have also heard to install it in the shower room, with the shower on; as apparently there is a static electricity sound as you remove the backing, that's sure to attract any dust. So thats how I am going to install mine. :)

I have the SGP Ultra Oleophobic pack here waiting on my iPhone to be delivered, ;P two days late on a RM Special delivery, the gits. I know they have it as I have the tracking No.
Guess they are really snowed under. :D

Put my SGP Oleo on dry in the shower room, easy enough.
Very happy with the result, can't tell it's there through sight or touch.
Now just for O2 to transfer my sim details over the new micro one to actual try the darned phone. :D
*Edit.
Just this minute realised i can use wifi, app store here I come.

next day guarenteed delivery has removed by rm . but they dont half take the pi** the sorting office is near by us road clear but they arnt bothering. we have to pick the stuff up

Odd question with regards to upgrading to iPhone 4. Is it possible to go into an O2 store and offset the cost of a new handset by trading in my old 3G?

Sadly the box is back at my parents which I won't be at for another 2 weeks. It's a shame I didn't chuck it at O2 recycle earlier as they were offering £180 back in the summer :(

has anyone on o2 experienced super slow 3g coverage of late ?
it says i have 3g but it takes forever for anything to load up
ive reset network settings and ive also reinstalled 4.1 and still slow
o2 have told me to try another iphone to make sure its not my sim, but i dont know anyone else close to me with ip4.
im also getting uber battery drain too, so im thinking its ip4 issue not network
anyone have any info ?

Any way to enable/activate 'Find my iphone' on an iPhone 4 not running iOS 4.2? I don't fancy upgrading my iOS until jailbreaks for v4.2 are better and untethered.

I have been getting something similar, I mainly surf these forums during lunch and I can click a thread then what fills like a eternity the page loads, sometime I need to stop and start again.

My battery life has changed a little but not a great deal!

ie I charge every couple days with 4 - 6 hrs usage - according to the phone.

If you can, have a look at the brodit proclip and pro mount range. They really are excellent and have served me well over a variety of past devices!

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm really just looking for a simple car charger which I can throw in glove-box incase I ever need it. As I don't drive much anymore due to being at uni, my car only gets driven at weekends so no real point of a brodit. They do look good though.

I had my trusty 3GS nicked recently, so made the update to the ip4. If I'm honest, apart from a camera on the front, I can't see much of a difference. I quite like the new shape and the whole thing feels nice. But aside from that, it's like a 3GS in different packaging. Which is no bad thing..!

What about the improved camera, screen and speed?

Seeing them side by side the 3GS seems pretty weak in comparison.
