*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I had my trusty 3GS nicked recently, so made the update to the ip4. If I'm honest, apart from a camera on the front, I can't see much of a difference. I quite like the new shape and the whole thing feels nice. But aside from that, it's like a 3GS in different packaging. Which is no bad thing..!

The Retina screen was one of the main features to upgrade to iPhone 4. It's miles better then the 3Gs. If u don't notice that you should go to specsavers :p

So that's what retina display is! Certainly text looks sharper. I wasn't expecting miracles and it's money well spent, it's an iPhone. But apples claim that this changes everything...again. ******. It's an improved iPhone with a lot of features that should have probably been on the 3GS. In my humble opinion of course. With any luck my car won't get robbed and I'll have time to explore this thing a bit more!

If you make the ultimate product what else are you going to release?

If I do a mammoth reply to a thread on this forum on the iPhone, how do I scroll up and down the text box to the top and bottom of my answer? Assuming my answer is bigger than the quick reply box?

I actually didn't really notice the display change when I got my IP4, it was only when I used my old 3G (given to my girlfriend) again that I appreciated the massive difference. Retina is so crisp and clear, you almost don't notice it, if you see what I mean?!

Waiting for one of these to arrive, £40 few months old, of the bay http://www.sony.co.uk/product/mfi-ipod-car-audio/cdx-gt540ui
Used to use a usb cigarette charger thing with my 3G, though now it charges for a second or two, with my 4 and then flashes between the charging and full icon. Even if empty and eventually; after a few minutes, the phone just restarts itself.
With the Sony, aswell as charging; you can access the library on your iPhone, :)hopefully it works with the 4.

Snap - using my old 3G is painful. But then she doesn't know any different. She had an LG Cookie - gay phone.

guessing neither of you browse the web on it ? the extra resolution makes browsing a pleasure rather than absolutely rubbish

My cousin sold his iphone 4 and bought a HTC desire HD, and I've just had a play on it. Not bad at all, a fair bit bigger then the i4 and so is the screen which I think is a really good size. It's great having such a high res on the i4 but whats the point when you have to zoom in to read text on most sites, I don't think you'd need to do it as much on the desire. Still the i4 screen is definately sharper and the colours are more vibrant but I wish the i4 screen was a tad bigger! I hope the next iphone has the same design but a 4.5" screen - I know I'm wishing.

Right after not being able to get the iPad I was interested in, I've decided to put the money from the sale of my camera into upgrading to an iPhone 4. Decided to go for an 18 months at £35, paid £199 for the 16gb handset, hopefully it'll come tomorrow but probably Friday.
I'm quite excited that I'll have a properly functional phone again!
