seems to say you can only pre order on payg from the 24th there all kicking off about it on the voda forums, hopefully the 02 can be had at launch and unlocked.

One thing to keep in mind is that the mobile companies wont ship to anything but your home address (where as Apple will). So have booked the 24th off just in case I dont get it from Apple.

What is Vodafone 3G signal like in general? Would like to go pay monthly with them as they have better tariffs than O2, but just worried about whether their coverage will be as good as O2/Orange & T-Mobile etc...

well they have the payg banner on the site so they must be, one guy said the customer service person said no to payg, i need it on payg as still got 6 months on a voda nokia contract.

It's true on Vodafone, I asked one of their online live chat people. They will only deliver to the billing address or to a store for collection. Fortunately the local store to me is about 30 seconds walk away

Just googled '{Provider_Name} 3g coverage'

And usually the first result will be the company's map and you enter ur post code and bingo.

It is entirely dependent on where you stay. In my bedroom I get full coverage from 02 but not even 1 bar on Orange, yet in some places its entirely different.
