********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

"It shows that the Galaxy S III will feature a monstrous dual-core 1.8GHz Exynos 4212 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 12MP camera on the rear, and a whopping 4.6in Super AMOLED Plus HD display."

"The phone will have NFC and LTE support but it will also get a pretty major redesign in a bid to ward off any potential legal battles with a certain other phone manufacturer based in Cupertino. It is also said to be slimmer than the Galaxy S II, meaning it will be less than 8.5mm thick."

Hopefully Apple will make the iPhone 5 quite the overhaul. (lol - most likely very fake... but worrying if this is what Samsung end up doing!)

Yeh and 2 hour battery life.

I'm not sure it's been reported in this thread yet, but Apple announced to the Press the following yesterday:

"On Monday Apple said it received more than one million pre-orders on Friday for the device, breaking a record set by the iPhone 4 when it was released in 2010."

So I think that ends any doubt about whether this is going to be a big seller.

I sent it to my Android "friends" (:D) and all they replied with was "well done, its better than a year old phone". :(

It's actually a 6 month old phone, the iPhone 4 was older than the SGSII when it was released yet every Android fan compared the two based on pure speed.

I must say, this is something I don't understand either. The iPhone is literally the perfect size, any bigger and it's 2 hands only time.

2 hands to do what? I have a 4.3" screen and can comfortably swipe the full width of the screen in portrait mode. A iPhone 4 style chassis with a 4" screen would be a bit of a handful i'd imagine though because of then ergonomics.

There was never any doubt, really. It was always going to fly out the door, no matter what the media said.

True

the only ones really disappointed are the existing Iphone 4 users hoping for a bigger Jump to Iphone 5.

There are still plenty of 3G and 3GS owners for whom this is still a great leap forward. Not to mention the apple nuts that will be anything new with an apple logo

And of course all the customers new to apple, and converting from android.
