********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

I'm actually shocked at how bad the iPhone 4 comes off in those benchmarks... is it really that poor?!

Judging from that, the 4s is going to get overtaken long before the 5 is out.

You could also say its an indication as to how pointless the benchmarks are.
Does the iPhone 4 feel that slow relative to the SGS II and such? not at all.

I sent it to my Android "friends" (:D) and all they replied with was "well done, its better than a year old phone". :(

Which itself is quite a funny reply, considering how much the Android crew jerked off over the fact SGS2 was quicker then the iPhone 4, ignoring the fact its over a year old.

The screen on the SGII is amazing!
And its very light!

Shame apple didnt make their 4S screen bigger! Biggest let down...and before anyone says you dont need a bigger screen- the fact is you havent got a choice! Screens are gonner get bigger! Sooner or later Apple will follow suit!

They have one with a larger screen, it is called an iPad! :D

Don't let the Android guys see this, they might implode.

-edit-
LOL at the comments! "Its because your using shipped Android ROM's and browser, if you flash to X ROM and use Y Browser the SGSII is much better!111!!"

Which sums up everything whats wrong with Android in one sentence.

What are you even talking about, and what is wrong with having the choice of flashing a home brew firmware. But this is as off topic as your lol worthy comment so I'll say no more.

His point is that many Android users swear by rooting and will use root-related things as plus points for the phone. Your average person doesn't want to root or Jailbreak their device, so using either as an argument for something is rather pointless.

There's nothing wrong with having it as a choice, but if you're comparing, you have to compare the various devices in their stock form.

I would never buy an iPhone if i couldnt J/B. Without the j/b its pretty naff!

And the argument that the average person doesnt want to j/b is false. Much like the average person doesnt d/l music or films on the net is false aswell. Every one likes a free-be wheather it be cracked apps or illegally shared mp3s/movies!

This is even more common amongst the 16/30 age range who are the biggest users of iPhones!

The iPhone is not 'naff' without a Jailbreak.

Your average person with an interest in technology may consider jailbreaking, but most people probably don't even know what it is.

Which I totally agree with comparisons in a benchmark shootout should only be made with stock firmware. I was more referencing the last sentence he said which was "which sums everything that is wrong with android" how is it a flaw in Android that some guy wrongly wants to be compare stock firmware to stock.

"It shows that the Galaxy S III will feature a monstrous dual-core 1.8GHz Exynos 4212 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 12MP camera on the rear, and a whopping 4.6in Super AMOLED Plus HD display."

"The phone will have NFC and LTE support but it will also get a pretty major redesign in a bid to ward off any potential legal battles with a certain other phone manufacturer based in Cupertino. It is also said to be slimmer than the Galaxy S II, meaning it will be less than 8.5mm thick."

Hopefully Apple will make the iPhone 5 quite the overhaul. (lol - most likely very fake... but worrying if this is what Samsung end up doing!)
