Thanks very much :D
Probably going to order the OVA DVD for about £10 and the main film on VHS or preferably DVD for hopefully £10 (know what the VHS looks like but not the DVD)

I don't spose i could be cheaky and ask if you could take a picture/one from the web of the artwork on the front of yours so i have a better idea of what i'm looking for.

Cheers

There isn't a film yet as it's still in production:)

Chances are any "film" of battle angel you see at the moment will just tbe the OVA's :)

Thats a bit of a bummer, the ones i've been looking at have these as their images:

VHS

Gunnm 2 aparently/Battle angel DVD 40min long

DVD OVA

It is very possible that these are all the same thing and if they are just the OVA then i wont bother buying them as i've already seen them.

Might get the manga as it looks like a cool series. Got vol 3 (didnt say in the description about it that there were volumes :( ) but am hoping to get the first vol soon.

Yup, I suspect they are all the same, or parts there of.

The official ADV DVD (the only legit DVD version with English subs/language) should look like
alita.jpg
it should have both OBA's and a run time of about 60 minutes.

AFAIK there wasn't a U.K. or R4 DVD.

With VHS tapes you may find 4 or more varients, as I beleive it was release both subbed and dubbed with one episode per tape (so 4 tapes in the U.K.)

Looopstah, I hope those are ones you want to watch again rather than for the first time
Either way it makes me feel a bit better about my backlog :)

I've been doing extra hours at work a lot lately so although I then get more money with which to buy anime I don't have the time to watch what I buy. :(

Bit of a catch 22 situation really.

Oki doki. Thanks very much for you help :)

Wish i was in a situation where i had more to watch. Got a few things but not much. Am getting tempted to get some more of the studio ghibli films as all the ones i've seen have been fantastic! Most of my friends are now bleach obsesed but i can't face starting a 65 episode or so series with no one else watching at the same time to talk about it with (instead i'll just have plot after plot ruined, lol). Whats a good shortish (10-20 or whatever) length series or a film thats got an amazing plot and is funny cute (love hina type thing) or something more action oriented (neon genesis, battle angel, ninja scrolls, akira etc).

cheers

For action two words
Last Exile :)
It's a very good action series with some great small level dog fights, naval combat and the like.

[2am edit]
Just finished Mars Daybreak, for a series based on a video game it was pretty good, certainly enjoyable :)

[5pm edit]
My Tenchi Universe set arrved this morning, suprisingly there was no customs charge (TRSI may have messed up the customs decleration).

ooo, thanks. Had a look at some artwork for it and looks good. Will try and get a hold of it.
Just watched half of the Elfen Lied series and so far its fantastic; has cuteness, harshness and violence all in one bundle.

Still need to get round to watching GITS 2 innocence and Metropolis. Even though i've no work to do at the moment i still don't have enough time for everything.

Just finished disk 3 of Patlabor TV, and i'm sure I reckognise some of the non SVU S2 characters as being from the films (the main detectives in them), i'm going to have to check up on that, I think there is also some sort of background plot starting up (the first 2 disks were mainly single episode stories).

Someone at AOD also noticed that Manga appear to be releasing a 6 disk Heat Guy J set for £25 RRP in a couple of months, I've ordered it for £18 from one online retailer :)
No idea if it's a misprice, or typo etc but may be worth a look (at £3 a disk you can't go wrong if it is the full series).

Haven't been watchin gany anime lately but my mate is still obessed so I decided to give GTO a go and after just watching the first episode I'm allready hooked wich is something I've never said for any anime before!

Ooh interesting. I was tempted to get the £70 set but now I'll wait a bit and see if it comes out cheaper. :)

EDIT: Ah well, I gave in and ordered Kimagure Orange Road from TRSI. a lot of places rate it very highly so I thought I'd better get it now as I wont have the chance latter if I change my mind. $124 for 12 DVDs isn't too bad though even though moneys a bit tight atm.

EDIT 2:

How Cute :D

My Captain Tylor Ultimate editions arrived today and they are both diddy little things.

:D

Got home from work today to find 3 parcels waiting.

2 were from TRSI, the Gungrave box looks nice and I got a free lenticular mousemat with it so I'm guessing they've had them hanging about for a while.
With the Tenchi universe box as well I'm starting to run out of space for all my anime so I've had to buy a new bookcase.

The third was a parcel from an Ebay seller containing Nadia collection 1 and collection 2. Everything is in mint condition and 100% authentic and all for only £10.85 I'm a lucky guy, I never thought I would be able to find Nadia 1 and at that price for the 2 it's a miracle. :D

damn loopstah thats some good work

I'm looking at getting the shinkai collection (Voices of a distand star etc) has anybody seen his work I'm told its pretty imppresive stuff?

I've got The Place Promised In Our Early Days and Voices Of A Distant Star but I haven't watched either of them yet. I might watch them tonight after the match as they aren't that long so I really haven't got an excuse not to with the reviews they have received.

loopstah, no taxes I assume? (I didn't have any with my order from TRSI either)
The Nadia set is a very good price, I think my ones worked out at about £33 when I got them in a TRSI bundle a couple of years back and that was a good price then :)

The tylor sets are certainly dinky little things, almost the same height/depth as CD cases rather than DVD cases :)

Voices is great, short but to the point and very good, I haven't seen Place promised yet though.

I've been mainly watching Patlabor TV when i've had time and been up to it (not much recently), and really starting to enjoy it, the characters are developing quite nicely as the series progresses and I'm starting to see how they fit in with the films (which despite coming before the TV series I think are set a year or so after it).

I'm also trying to get up the energy to make a start on some more DVD storage units, I know pretty much exactly what I want (basically 600mm cubes with drawers for the DVD's and other stuff), but haven't been feeling well enough to even think about making a start on them.

.

Dont know if anyone is interested but I spotted on AoDVD that http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/ have a anime box set sale on. Had a look and saw they had the GTO box set on sale for $62.98 (£25) so I ordered it as they ship worldwide.

Was considering the Rurouni Kenshin box sets as they work out the same price as the US Economy versions but come in the fancy box, but I'm not sure if Kenshin is that interesting.

Nearly got to the end of Blue Gender. It started off really well and i've been hooked till about episode 16. The later episodes seem to have become a little weak
