Just a little info on Gunsmith Cats Manga, May takes refuge and worked in a prostitute house as i remmber.
Thanks for that Lostcorpse, after posting I did a little digging of my own and found out that the "adult" in GunSmith Cats refers to May using those skills learned above to get jobs/information and it is rather graphically depicted, so much so when first released in the states two pages were censored I believe (I’ll leave the rest to your imagination
). It is a bit of a shame that it was flipped, but Dark Horse are supposed to be releasing a new version which reads from right to left thank goodness, so everybody will drive on the incorrect side of the road again
, until then I don't think It will be on my purchase list unfortunately.
Along a similar vein where is a good place to get manga in London. I'm due (for my sins) to have to spend all of next week there and am short book 3 of hellsing which I plan to read multiple times while I am there, if fmp is anything to go by and I think it will be having read the first couple of episodes in book one. You cant beat a wise cracking vampire, not one that makes jokes about Maggie Thatcher
. I will be staying near Liverpool Street station and need a good store from which I can get book 3. I have already raided all of the shops that I know of in Bristol that stock Manga, only Forbidden Planet and Blackwells (of all places) and got all of the other books I was short on.
Most watched anime must be Eva or more accurately the first episode of eva got it and watched the first episode five times in the same evening, could not move on to the next episode until the following day, just was left with that feeling of wow. Failing that probably GunSmith Cats as it it nice light entertainment and has a number of my interests in it.
Am really, really, really looking forward to the Appleseed film. Have always been a fan of traditional techniques combined with 3d, unfortunately there seem to be very few films that use 3d to good effect, the one exception being Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. When I first was that I was down in town, the bar that we were in was playing and I was having problems figuring out whether it was some combination of live action or not. Guess that could have had something to do with the drink, but all the same the hair on the characters heads when they were in space was amazing.
Elfen Lied, it looks interesting, but at the same time I am a little dubious about series that are only 13 or in this case 14 episodes long, but adv are not releasing the 14th as far as I am aware. I saw Gunslinger Girl recently and I have to say that raised a big lump in my throat, but ultimately my personal opinion is that it should have been longer. Maybe not a full 26 episodes, but somewhere in between. You have only just got to know the characters by the time the series ends which for the topics that are involved it is not really enough to do it justice.
edit: Opps, forgot the whole purpose of posting, der who's a stupid little boy then. Is cdjapan.co.jp any good. I'm looking for some Origa (the person who sings Inner Universe, Rise etc for GiTS: SAC) cd's and they are very hard to locate for reasonable money in the uk or states. It makes much more sense for me to import them and the Madlax OST's (which are not out in the states yet) from japan but I have never personally imported from japan before. Anything one needs to look out for, bar the usual importing problems.
