That was quick ;)

Well not really, it was sitting at 2/3 on the final part for a good few weeks ... I'll have to shove it onto the iPad later along with the first three Hidan no A.ria light novels, Toradora Vol. 10 and the first three Baka to Test light novels.

Hopefully they'll move onto translating some more of the untranslated Maria-sama novels ...

I've GOT TO SEE THIS!

http://randomc.net/2011/04/16/deadman-wonderland-01/

Gore, Battles , Special Powers

Well it'll be readily available to watch as both CrunchyRoll and Anime on Demand are supposed to have it ...

edit:

In fact watched the first episode via CrunchyRoll ... was ok but not really my sort of thing (although I wouldn't have said it was visually extremely gory really).

Finished Funimations BD release of Ga-rei Zero this morning ... not a bad series which looks reasonably good on BD. Lots of supernatural action throughout. I wouldn't say that it was great, after all it's not really in one of my main preferred genres, but it was a reasonable watch.

Watched some new stuff as well ...

A.ria the Scarlett Ammo .... Ok watched episode 1 of this, I can't say that I'm feeling some of the hype surrounding this series but it seems pretty reasonable so far. The first episode was not bad as an introduction and it will be interesting to see how it progresses.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai ... (yes i did copy and paste that from Demoniser's post :)). I liked this episode. Seems like it could turn into quite a nice drama series. Am definitely getting the same sort of vibe as True Tears off of the story so far and the first episode leaves you wanting to know more ...

A Channel ... watched episode 2, more light comedy ... I'm liking this ...

Ore-tachi Ni Tsubasa we Nai ... episode 2 and this series is rapidly sending me towards dropping it ... in fact I had to watch episode 2 twice as it sent me to sleep the first time! Just not clicking with me at all.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko ... watched episode 1 of this; seems quite interesting so far (not that that's much to base any opinion on). Pretty girl spends most of the episode wrapped up in a futon .... what a waste :)

C - The Money of Soul and Possibility Control ... another episode 1 ... rather strange so far, I can't say that I really enjoyed it that much so I don't know how long I'll be continuing to watch this one.

a scarlett ammo - seems okay so far, will see what happens as we go along, we've got shana/tiga as the lead character lol

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - seems ok, depends on where it goes though....

deadman wonderland - I quite liked it, kept thinking the main bloke was renton from eureka seven though, didn't help with shiro being a white haired girl lol

c-the money..... - quite liked it, get a yu-gi-oh type vibe at the moment

Dog Days - simple, fun, nothing complicated, usual sort of thing

toriko - episode 1 was a cross over with one piece, will wait for second episode before forming an opinion

astorotte no omocha - watched it as well it's on crunchyroll so it can't be as bad as the description sounded and well it's not bad, seems along the line of zero's familiar and to love ru.

battle girls - time paradox - seems ok but it's a bit slow maybe

I will say one thing about the new season, it seems Rie Kugimiya is doing a lot of tsundere loli's lol

Thats what you get when you're typecast :p

Director: So our main character is a midget loli, with a big mouth and an attitude problem, who likes to attack people with large swords and other dangerous objects.

Producer: Yes

Director: Right, best go and see if Rie Kugimiya is available..

:p

Right, so finished A Certain Magical Index season 2 this evening ... and thoroughly enjoyed it. The series continues on in the same sort of vein as the first season with a mixture of science and religion, and the conflicts between these, being the main driving force forward. This series is fairly fast paced and continues to have good OP's and ED's throughout. The only criticism I'd level at it is the last couple of episodes which I think could have been handled better after what came before and still left things open for another series ...

Overall I found the series a good carry on from the first Index series although I do still think that the spin-off Railgun series is more enjoyable, for me, than either of them.

I'm guessing that we will see some more Railgun stuff before the years end, and then a third season of Index.

The end of the second season of Index was really setting things up for an all out war between science and magic i think. I've had a skim through of the plot from the light novels, and theres definitely more eventful stuff still to be covered.

I've also got the second opening to Index 2 stuck in my head. So catchy...

I actually liked the ED from the last third or so of the series (the one that starts with a window with rain falling on it).

It's definitely set up for a third series of Index as you say and the way things are going plot wise I'd say what you suggest is likely to be a significant plot element in it ... although I would suggest that something may also come to a head involving Mr Upside-down, possibly involving Dr Frog (seeing as he appears to have history there) and the main cast (to use none of their proper names).

I would like another series of Railgun ... I liked the lighter, more humorous, nature of it but combined with the action when it needed it ...

The guy who voices Accelerator must have so much fun voicing him. Such a creepy, unhinged and twisted character. Definitely one of my favourite characters from the Index/Railgun universe.

That excorcist looks like it could be interesting :)

I had a couple of things arrive today, most importantly the Clannad After Story set, and move :p
But also (about 10 months late), Eureka 7 the movie :p

My Clannad AS shipped overnight so I should be able to get it next Tuesday (I expect a missed delivery on Thursday and then a redelivery then) ... which is good as I'm off all next week :)

I see that Sentai have announced their July solicitations ... a couple of interesting included things are Angel Beats on BD and the third series of Hidamari Sketch.

Funimation's solicitations are out to and it appears that the new release for Strike Witches in July is just a DVD re-release and isn't a DVD/BD combo as rumoured. :(

I haven't actually seen the Sentai announcement, but Angel Beats sounds pretty good :)

As I couldn't sleep I've just watched Eureka 7 the movie which was good, some odd differences (whilst at the same time many of the bits of the TV series were retained), I think I'm going to have to sit down and read the E7 Manga I bought before Christmas (I've got the E7 manga, CCS and NHK to read).

To be honest I much, much preferred the series to the movie for E7 ... the film just seemed a bit of a trainwreck to me plot-wise being used to the way the series goes. The films not bad, but after the series I found myself spending way to long thinking "huh ... what?"

@ANDARIAL.

Finished M-S volume 30 this morning. Nice little story which answers what Sachiko was studying for in secret in the previous novel. Usual levels of misunderstanding and reconciliations throughout and overall it felt to me like an OVA episode. In fact if they did make a "OVA series" 5, in the same manner as series 3, the ending of this would probably make a nice final episode.

Trainwreck sums it up for me :p.

At least they made it an alternate universe instead of a straight forward retelling of the series, so i give them plus points for trying. I only ever watched it the once though, and i found it very very confusing.

I'll have to see if it's any different the second time round i watch it, my copy should arrive in the next day or so.

yep didn't like the e7 movie either. Might have been different had I not seen the series first but as I had I was like, this just isn't right, even the nirvash seemed weaker in design at the end....

Just finished Dragon Crisis. Was a little delayed in managing to watch through it due to a few other things going on. Enjoyable if deeply average show, it certainly won't go on any all time best lists, but it wasn't at least offensively awful.

Thanks to my youngest brother getting into anime now, I've also had the pleasure of watching a little FMP, and Angel Beats recently, which are still shows I'm rather fond of. Also got round to watching GITS 2.0 at the weekend.

Certainly a rather nice looking film for the age, although more effort needs to be done if its worked on further, to make the CGI gel a bit better. Some works well, other parts are quite poorly transitioned in terms of fitting in.

Plan is to move onto Index series one next :)
