I caved in and ordered the S&W s2 LE - it was only about £2 more than the normal one - although I don't have anything that can play region A discs at the moment :P
I also ordered Shuffle, and Wagnaria LE :) (shuffle and spice were in the funi sale at rightstuf).

I need to re-watch Shuffle at some point, I have the singles and artbox and I remember watching the first half or so but I don't remember the rest of the series at all ...

Finished a re-watch of Kashimashi last night. Nice little series along the lines of boy meets girl, boy gets crashed into by a large space ship and has his body rebuilt as a girl (not by his choice), relationship chaos ensues. It's a good series with several sections which are quite emotional due to how the relationships change due to the change in gender of the main character. I quite like it, it's not a top tier series but it's a reasonably good watch. Note I have the original singles release, it has now been re-released with a dub.

@Andarial. Had a nice package come today. Maria-sama ga Miteru The Movie Perfect Book. Nice A4 book packed full of pictures of the cast, interviews (with the original author, the cast and the director (I think for the last ... it is all in Japanese of course!)), art work and behind the scenes photos. There's several pages on each of the characters (who would be instantly identifiable even if it didn't give their titles in French for most of them) and there are pictures from various scenes from the film which are also recognisable from the anime. I've dropped you a mail with a link where you can see some pictures of the content (which I can't link to here (it's a sale on a popular auction site)). It is a really good book and I'm looking forward to the films release on BD in July.
Sweet
Will the BD release have English subs?
Nice pics,I still think Yumi does not look `right` with black hair.Could they not have had the actress dye it for the movie?

I expect that there will be no subs on the official release. Overall I think the actresses are pretty reasonable for their parts ... have to see how they look in the film though.

Anybody watched Eureka Seven?, I've started watching it and found it decent enough (not FMA good, but still decent), kinda made me laugh tho with the whole wind surfing robot suits/gundams :p

Eureka Seven (the series .... not the movie; that's a train wreck) is very good ... personally I'd put it quite a bit higher than FMA in all areas.

I agree with this too, eureka seven has pretty much everything you could want in anime, you've got your mecha, you've got your quality music and script, you've got your love element and you've got your coming of age element and you've even got some of the 'power' parts like you'd find in gurren lagaan (although not quite as obvious).

I'm finding them both good, but i haven't watched enough too say where each one is best, anyway where do you guys buy your Anime?, I'm getting mine from Amazon since they seem to be decent price

It depends, for UK releases then Amazon normally gets the first look for me. Other UK, or channel islands, based online stores also have good deals at times.

For US releases I tend to either go for United Publications (www.up1.co.uk) or TRSI (www.rightstuf.com). UP are in the UK so you don't have to worry about customs and will deliver to a non-credit card address. TRSI tend to be cheaper but are in the US so there is always the possibility of customs charges and they only ship to the credit card address. In stock items from UP normally get to me in 2 days, (can be ~2 weeks for things not in stock they need to import themselves), and with TRSI things normally take 3 weeks to get to me. Amazon US sometimes have quite good deals as well so can be worth checking.

For other releases ... well Amazon JP, YesAsia and Playasia are good for Japanese releases, (but they will probably be unsubbed and expensive).

UP gets most of my business though (for the convenience).

Of course if you do get US releases then you'll need a method of playback that is multiregion for DVDs and/or BDs.

Cheers for that, might try UP out sometime, and I usually just make .ISO's out of my DVD's and Blu-Rays for my Med8er, much simpler :)

Just keep away from the English Dub that makes you want to stab your eyes out. I couldn't cope with more than one episode of it.

I'm making a second attempt at E7 this summer because everyone else seems to love it, but this time with Jap Dub/Eng Sub.

It will have to go someway to beating FMA:Brotherhood through, that was an awesome show!

I didn't mind the english dub that much, but some fo the dialogue sounds really cheesy in english. That being said, i couldn't stand the english voices for the kids. Probably because the english voice for the little girl is the same as the one who does some of the tachikomas in ghost in the shell iirc, and we all hate the english voices for those.

I didn't mind the eng dub to be honest, I've heard worse , I might pick up FMA:Brotherhood on Blu-Ray after I've finshed the original FMA

I thought there were some good and bad bits to E7, certainly wouldnt say I loved it.

Also...odd question here, but seems a good place to ask - do any of you have any multiregion BD Player recommendations. My younger brother is looking for one and doesn't want to break the bank.

I do them via software on my laptop so haven't paid much attention to the standalone players :)

It was the boy that did it for me, he said 'sucked' every 30 seconds or something. It just wound me up proper!

I have two Panasonic BD Players which are chipped so they are multi-region for both BDs and DVDs. DVDs automatically switch region but the player has to be switched manually for BDs, (1=A, 2=B from the remote with the device turned off) ... same as for early multiregion DVD mods.

The place in Peterborough I got mine from (which could be classed as a competitor) doesn't currently have any chipped Panasonic models listed but does have others from LG, Pioneer and Sony. Note that the chipped models tend to be quite a bit more expensive than their non-chipped version and you have to be careful to make sure what you are buying is multiregion for both BDs and DVDs and not just DVDs. A cost example is a Pioneer BDP-330 currently in stock for £269 (+ shipping)

I don't think a lot of Blu-Rays are legion locked, dunno about Anime though

Actually they can be ... I have quite a few that are either Region A or Region B and require the player to be specifically changed to the right region.

Ahh ok, I've only ever bought 3 Blu-Rays so i was just going off what I've read before :)
