Why not try this windows update blocker i use it all the time /https://www.sordum.org/9470/windows-update-blocker-v1-8/Windows update is one of the few things in the world that makes my pee boil just thinking about it. The root of all evil and wrong doings. If it got removed over night the world would be 50% better to live in, spite the last 3 years of problems and conflict. Yes I HATE it that much. Most of my driver issues has been because of windows updates or the update service. Grrr.

if you're still seeing this, can you please let us know? We shipped a fix for this in 23.7.2 but it seems that someone is still running into problems with these displays.

What was the fix? Anyway on the AMD software version 23.7.2, on gaming>Display I can enable and disable the adaptive sync compatible setting but it does not effect the aw3423dw which is a G sync ultimate display.

Egosoft (x4 foundations) is having a lot of issues with gfx corruption with the new 23.7.x drivers in v6 of the game, due to i think volumetric fog in x4 foundations, they issued a hotfix in their betas but they think the change in drivers is permanent so have to wait for a longer fix to do themselves if amd wont be changing whatever it was that caused it. For now i think they turned off v fog in the game for amd users.

That article is kind of dreadful, it basically says 1 guy on twitter had a problem with his aya neo after installing new drivers. And that's it. That's the whole story.

Sorry, scratch that. I was referring to a commentor on the /r/AMD community who originally suggested that the issue was still present for them in 23.7.2 in error. Happy to report that their crashes are fixed with GSync Ultimate displays.

Currently using 23.5.1, they have been fine for me.
Same as the whole "drivers destroy cards" crap from a few months ago, the 6800s in Germany that were burning up and lots of media were riding that story for all it was worth, ended up it was the specific cards that were the issue being ex mining cards that seemingly had been soaked and left to dry in a cleaning effort.
Of course somehow these same media muppets didn't for a moment seem to consider why it was only x amount of cards in a single country that had these issues, when anyone with a partially functioning brain would have also had that query. Anything for clicks/views and a ******** attention grabbing headline relating to drivers.
At first I entertained the thought that maybe it was a smear campaign by nvidia, but to be honest, I don't think nvidia cares one bit as jensen is living in his own little world of weird. No, instead I think it's just the times we live in as we see the same behaviour in regular media with one brain dead article after another with next to no substance, no context, and on the very edge of what is the actual truth. Journalism, no matter the form, is pretty much dead outside of a few rare situations.
