Nah this is a UI mockup mistake. FSR 4 is contingent on ML HW improvements offered specifically in RDNA 4. It may be possible to run with RDNA 3, but it wouldn't be very performant with this model. Similarly, RIS2 leverages RDNA 4's DCN hardware; it doesn't leverage CAS this time around.

That's a shame, Well I'm not changing over from my 7900XTX, I require more than 16GB for the things I do, Hopefully with RDNA5/UDNA in 2 years we get more than 16GB as I don't want to go over to Nvidia to get more than 16GB.

9070XT Red Devil inbound tomorrow! I went for the most expensive one purely because we do build mods! From a financial point of view it makes sense, as a consumer however.. not so much.

Hoping the drivers will be good but from what i've seen from other creators, it's pretty decent!

You shouldn't have to budge. NV31 XTX is a rast monster, and a pretty competent compute card for workflows that accommodate it.

True but I really would like cleaner images, as nice as FSR3.1 is it's miles behind FSR4's image quality which is sooooo nice.

Upgraded today from 24.12.1 to 25.3.1 on my RX 5700 XT and performance and framerates are much lower.

CPU usage is up and GPU usage is down, GPU power draw is down too, so seems like I'm suddenly CPU-limited ... on the day my 9070 is arriving ... fingers crossed ...

Excuse my ignorance but what was the point of the ai cores in the 7000 series cards? Have they been used for anything?

I reverted back to the previous driver to me it looks like amd did an apple downgrade performance with an update to try and get you to upgrade
 
I'm finding the Adreneline software really laggy and cant open a lot of the tabs. I'm running a 9070XT and did a full ininstall of the old Nvidia drivers using DDU before installing the new card and drivers. Anyone else had this? Gaming performance is great though.

If you go into event viewer (if on windows), are there any crticial errors pointing to crashes on startup/shutdown? Likely not that dire, but Adrenanlin settings resetting was a clue recently that it was happening in my new build.

Otherwise, when I've had Adrenalin not loading settings properly (e.g. insisting on enabling global 60fps frame rate control every reboot), doing a snap export of (the correct) settings then import settings a couple of times fixed it.
