The AMD Driver Thread

Matt, I'm still having issues with the corruption in the bottom right-hand corner. The problems in the video have disappeared. Also seen another person in the official GTA thread with the same issue.

Does disabling AA (normal and reflective) solve the issue?

MSAA appears to be the culprit. Disabled all AA and it disappeared. Enabled FXAA and reflection AA and it stayed away. Enabled MSAA and it came back.

Superpatsy, could you just confirm to me please if you were running DirectX 11 when the corruption occured? Thank you.

I have the same corruption as Superpatsy when using any level of MSAA and can confirm I was running DX11.

Thank you nutsnut. A few more questions for you, if that's okay.

Is the corruption only in the bottom right? If you pan the camera to the roof, is it still there? What about around the room?

Just trying to narrow down the issue so either ourselves or Rockstar can address as needed.

Can you share a screenshot of the exact settings you're using please? I think you'll need 3-4 screens to cover all the settings, including display, graphics and advanced graphics.
Thanks Bucho. :)

Here you go Matt, as requested (I think I've included everything) :D and yes as you can see I'm using DirectX 11

I've actually had a bit of a play about with the graphics options and as has been said before it's only the MSAA option that causes this funny square of snowy stuff to appear on the screen (Reflection MSAA works perfectly by the way).

Thank you.

Can you answer the questions above as you had the same issue with MSAA enabled?

Hi matt, cab confirm it is only in the lower corner of the screen. From memory it was constant regardless of camera position, however will try again in a few moments and try to capture a short video.

Thank you.

Matt, yes it's only ever in the bottom right corner of the screen, and it's only there when I have MSAA on (this is with 2x, but it's exactly the same with 4x, or 8x). I can drive around, run, swim, die lol, and it's constantly there, although it does change slightly depending on the background (but only ever in this location on the screen)... See Screenshot :)

Not the most interesting of screenshots I have to admit, but it does show the problem pretty clearly. I don't know about the other guys buy I'm using a Asus 7970 Matrix Platinum :)

If I was you guys you should all post if you see it or not with msaa on but with the following info
Model eg 7970 gaming
Manufacturer MSI
Over clocked?
Issue seen?
Amd shadows on¿

This could help amd/rock lot if it is a certain card or memory type + other various settings

Part if my job is to create automated systems to test various unknown possiblities. The more community helps the quickier your will get a resolution

I shall add my mine, anyone can feel free to use mine as a template. I think it's an issue with the game personally. When i try and use manual crossfire settings in CCC i can't actually find a GTA5 profile.

Model: 1x VTX3D R9 280X and 1x XFX R9 280X
Card memory brand: VTX3D - Samsung and XFX - Hynix
Overclocked: Yes - 1090:1550
Issue seen: Yes
MSAA Setting: 4x
AMD Shadows: On

I just tried running GTA5 on "AFR Friendly" Crossfire and it seems to have removed the corruption in the bottom right hand corner. Can anyone else confirm that running GTA5 in "AFR Friendly" removed the corruption?
