The AMD Driver Thread

Turn HQ Shadows off and lower extended shadow distance seems to help.

That feels smoother now but i'm still not getting constant 60fps. When it dips the cards are typically all doing 50%

I also seem to get periodic flashing or pulsing on highlights, sometimes the qwhole sky does it. Only way to get rid of it is to turn msaa & fxaa off then back on again.

Play around with the advanced graphics settings, might help a little. I expect game patches will improve performance over the coming days/weeks.

Well TBH Matt I'm being REALLY picky.
Generally runs like a dream, looks so impressive.
First time my wife saw it running she stopped mid sentence and just stared at it, trying to work out if it was a game or not. All she said was wow.

Should be smiles all round for everyone this weekend - R*, Red, Green & us users

This launch should be a lesson to all developers for what a AAA title should do from the get-go.

I have spent the past 4 hours testing these cards on several different games and had no issues whatsoever so I went back onto to GTA V and all appears to be fine, with just single GPU's and then Crossfire.

A decent sized patch was installed which was making me think it was an issue with game, rather than my hardware and/or drivers.

But seeing as I've typed this, I'll be back to square one tomorrow! :p

I understand Scotspaul, we're all perfectionists at heart. :)

B6I've turned off the afterburner on screen fps monitor I had running and decided to just enjoy GTA as it runs.
Great decision really I think. Game before numbers.
In very happy with that

Playing at 1440p with a couple of 7950's, performance is great. Have them clocked at 1100/6000. Running very high settings for all the options, with 2xmsaa and hitting around 90fps average with dips to 70's in extreme weather conditions. it plays absolutely lovely.

thanks wanted to see how they kind of run so went and got it from asda for £37 as my internet slow 7

@Matt - Just to let you know, CF in Dyling Light now is borderline unplayable after an hour tonight. Every single cut scene now slows to 1fps then speeds up but is jerky and all over the place... anything where you're virus cuts in hits 1-10fps... CF is awful now... shame, and weird :-( Noticed in general play I'd say it's not slower than with CF disabled... not sure what's been done on thisto create this problem...

This is starting to really annoy me. There was no artifacting on either GPU when tested individually but it happens when I use both of them, again only on GTA V.

Surely it has to be a game/driver issue?
