The AMD Driver Thread

As i said on the previous page, we're working together with the dev to resolve the problems that have appeared since the final build of the game launched. In the beta build things were performing normally, but now that's not the case. I don't know why that is, or what has changed, but we're working on it.

They worked closer with nVidia that's what happened lol. Some where along the lines it's messed with the AMD optimisation most likely.

Any answer on the witcher 3 crossfire profile matt? Its the highest reviewed game this year its looking like so it would be very disappointing if crossfire isn't working for it.

Could either of you provide a save game file where the issue often occurs?

SuperPatsy, i know you had those hardline screenshots, could you drop them in a trust email to me please? Thanks.

I could give you a save for GTA V but not Hardline. It's not really a case of where it occurs, more when.

I could send the screenshots via the email conversation we had a couple of weeks ago?

I'll give this a go as well when I get home.

Thanks for the tip...maybe that's all it needs...hopefully! ;)

Just tried this...helps enormously!! Cannot quantify as yet..will run some kind of fraps and see what the difference is...but is is definitely substantial in Win 7!

What are your temps on that card?

Temps never go above 70C on either card. It's been doing for as long as i've been using these cards, sometimes the card will clock correctly. It's become worse with the latest drivers where it will never clock above 850Mhz no matter what.

Seems im being ignored when asking about the witcher 3 lol good job.

Man give the guy a break. He doesn't build drivers, he is here to assist us some things he can and can't help with.
You not been ignored more the fact he doesn't have an answer for you..

If you want answers about drivers follow the AMD Catalyst driver team on Twitter and message them.

Then all he has to do is say that to me....I know he doesn't build drivers but if he says to me that he doesn't know the situation then that's much better than not saying anything. Im not having a go at Matt im more just tired with AMD in general and like with any company if I asked them a question and I got no reply I wouldn't be happy about it.

I didn't comment on the GTA V profile prior to it's launch and i won't be doing that with the Witcher 3 either. All i will say is we always try to have the best available Crossfire Optimisations in the biggest titles, ready for launch.

It doesn't appear to be doing it from the quick play of it there but the issue can happen instantly, after a while or if I'm really, really lucky, not at all.

Thanks, please let me know if you see it under Mantle. As you don't, I'd recommend using that for now in Hardline.

I just tried to run Asus Realbench but every time i try and launch a test it gives me an error about a missing or broken opencl.dll. I've tried rebooting, re-downloading Realbench, checked to see if opencl.dll is present (it is) which only leaves me with the option of reinstalling the AMD Drivers. I dont really want to do this however because when I did a clean install of the 15.4's it took about 3 attempts before it stopped BSOD'ing or black screening etc.

Anyone have any advice?
