The AMD Driver Thread

Can you post your settings Matson? I have a 7990 so i can try to mimic it myself, thanks.

I've seen GTA V game files corrupt before, so my recommendation would be to Verify Local Cache Files on steam to see if something got corrupted!

I have done that already but no hope yet...
Because I saw it on AMD.com saying they are working with Rocketstar on the MSAA setting, maybe this MSAA setting ruined the save?

Working fine here was only playing it yesterday.

Works fine for me, with the same cards.

Very strange, it's definitely not working. It's working fine in other games. You both using 15.5 BETA?

Double checked that it's in full screen and CCC settings, AFR friendly makes it work but using the official profile it won't work at all.

Anyone else finding that Crossfire is not working in Tomb Raider 2013? Only way for me to get it working again is forcing AFR friendly.

Benny please check you have Full Screen and Exclusive Full Screen selected, otherwise CrossFire will not work.

Does anyone know to stop the blood splatter flickering in Dying Light when Crossfire is enabled? I've tried disabling AA in-game but it didn't help.

Looking into this.

The MSAA issue is known and can be solved by disabling AA so it won't cause corrupt files. I wonder if Rockstar Social Club has anything to do with this, it's given me a few problems before.

Definitely not working - FPS is consistent with only one card:

I've enable the crossfire logo in the top right corner, as you can see it isn't there. My only guess now is that it's a compatibility issue with Windows 10, wonder if it's a driver or game issue.

Matt, do you know when AMD plans to release win10 drivers on their website? Windows keeps on trying to install engineering sample drivers which don't work very well.

Anyone still having the CrossFire-Vsync-EyeFinity sound crackling bug, please try this to see if it removes the crackling.

Disable the HDMI sound device from CCC or Via the Windows Control Panel > Sound.

I'd be interested to know if this fixes this issue for people that have reported this to me previously. Thanks. :)

Probably just before the Operating System is Officially launched Benny.

As far as I know that's nothing to do with AMD. Windows 10 is still at a testing stage and they want every one to be using the same drivers so it's easier to iron out the faults. That being said you can change the settings to stop the driver updates. Is it ticking the "stop other Microsoft product updates box"?

Poor state of affairs when the windows 8.1 drivers work better on 10 than the 10 ones do.

Yikes, that doesn't sound good at all. Guess we need to wait a couple months now to get a driver that fixes that.

The flicker is not major game breaking. It's something I haven't noticed much before but has appeared in patch 1.05. Single card is of course perfect and strangely even looks better than before.

I'm expecting some driver when the 300 series is launched in 12 days.

edit: It turns out the slowdown was because "EnableTemporalAA" was set to True and "HairWorksAALevel" was set to the default value of 8 after the patch. I set it to 2 and performance is back at 60fps.

New Witcher 3 patch 1.05 is out.

Crossfire performance seems to have slightly decreased for me when more NPC's come on screen. Texture flicker more frequent too.

Patch is definitely for AMD only, there is no additional fps on nvidia. It greatly increase FPS on single AMD gpu. Like +10fps even in town.

About flickering. Have you tried set mipmap to zero?

I joined the crossfire club a few days ago and I hope there is a very nice big omega style driver released on the 16th that addresses Witcher 3 and other crossfire related things. Key word there being hope. lol

For anyone getting worse performance after the patch, check your rendering.ini file. Mine reset so Hairworks AA for example was back to the default 8.
AMD crossfire users should make sure the temporalAA setting is put to 0 again. This should help with the flickering, although mine was on 1 and I was not seeing any flickering!

Initial impression (only tested GTA V so far, and didn't first test without disabling them): yup, that does the trick!

I'll let you know if I find out otherwise.
