The AMD Driver Thread

Uber confused.

15.15 drivers?

Month 15 in year 2015  (Or year 2015 in month 15)

Yeah thats the normal format with AMD. However they have released certified 15.15 drivers with the new 300 serie cards and later this month certified 15.20 and 15.30 drivers are coming out.

No idea what happned with 15.6 which is what they should be :P

15.20 will be the certified windows 10 driver for all cards i beleive.

I assume it will be launched at same time as windows 10.

There are some great early beta builds for windows 10 which are showing great performance.

just think how many more GPUs AMD could have sold in the past couple of years if these driver improvements had already been in place, i know they're working their balls off for the release of win 10, but we're seeing big improvements on 7 and 8.1

Yeah true. But im just happy to get or be getting 10 to 20% improvement for free now.

absolutely. thing is i think people can cope with owning a slower gpu - there's always something quicker - it's support and features that keep you happy until you're ready to get your wallet out. Hopefully AMD will realise this and employ some more software engineers.

TBH, AMD have/had a very good chance to get people to jump ship from nvidia, just look at all the nvidia driver threads across the internet, so many people having issues with the last 3-4 updates

Looks like we're getting another problematic game for us AMD users, according to Roy on twitter.

why don't they fix these god damn issues before the game releases? Its pathetic that professional companies cant sort these things out before they get released to the public.

So they should delay the game because AMD can't sort their drivers out?

It's obviously a driver issue considering the consoles both use AMD APU's and obviously will perform decently at launch.

AFAIK, the console versions don't have any closed source nvidia/gameworks code in them, like all the other nvidia sponsored games on consoles.

who said anything about delaying the game lol. No they should know these things well in advance. I mean come on the ps4 and xbox use AMD cards so why arn't these things optimized and tested well in advance of release date by the companies. Yeah I know the consoles are easy to do because they don't have the gameworks features but still, with so many AMD pc users surely they should be able to work on these things long before release. Its just tiring being an AMD user at the moment, especially crossfire.
It never worked fully on the Witcher3 and even now the flickering still remains. They improved it a lot yeah but it was still pretty bad for along time.
