The AMD Driver Thread

AMD Catalyst™ Driver for World of Warships for Windows®

A driver has been released via hotfix to provide support for a new game, World of Warships, on HD5000 – HD8000 series products.

Check the supported products list folks as most of you won't need this driver.

This alpha driver contains day one support for World of Warships for the selected products listed. This driver also resolves a crash some users may experience when using those products with this game.

installed these drivers & managed 1 hour in cod ghost without any crashes. Display driver would normally crash after around 15 mins.

windows 10.

Awesome find - I've been playing GTA5 and Ark for 2 hours or so without a single crash on my 390X - these appear to have fixed my issue!

Same here but on MSI 390, couldn't play more than about 5 mins due to ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT crash but just played for a hour or more with no issue

Thanks for the feedback. I'd be interested to know if the issue returns after you all do more testing.

Apparently you can increase the Freesync range with a simple driver mod -

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/ow...rs-can-enlarge-hz-range-with-simple-hack.html

Obviously AMD won't support this but quite cool.

Not that we condone or support this, but it did not work for me on Windows 10.

Installed the new drivers, as above. Similar issues.

Starting to regret getting an AMD card again.

Dirt Rally just crashed again, what a waste of money :(

Well after my earlier post saying the drivers from LoadsaMoneys link seemed to have fixed the err_gfx_d3d_init crash I was getting...i had the crash again. Played a few hours of online yesterday and didn't get the crash. Had some dinner, played about 20 mins of single player and it happened again.

Can you try disabling Windows GVR in Windows 10 to see if that makes any difference please chaps?

It's fixed for me, using the leaked drivers that user Loadsofmoney linked earlier in this thread ;)

Also a MSI 390X user and can confirm the leaked drivers looked to of sorted my problems too, cod ghost & bf4 working great for a good 4 or 5 hours including with my overclock applied.

Display driver crashed (black screen) upon exiting bf4 once and had to reset pc at the wall but no error was logged in event viewer and no problem since.

Thanks for the feedback chaps. So it seems that driver has fixed the issue for the majority of the 390X users so far. Think only one person mentioned the issue remained.

Next thing is to see how well AMD handle this. Are they going to leave us waiting a month for the next beta driver, or are they going to do a fast hotfix to solve this issue in order to keep their customers happy?

We are aware that some users are experiencing an issue in AMD Catalyst 15.9 Beta that causes all available video memory to be used whilst resizing active browser windows.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and being patient whilst we continue to investigate. We're working on getting it resolved as soon as possible.

For users looking for an alternative driver that does not experience this issue please find Catalyst 15.7.1 located here

I love how I have to use bandicam to limit my fps to 999 cause otherwise when i load up games like fifa and csgo on my new 390 it just reboots my pc cause fps shoots to like 3000.. Why is the limit on rivatuner 200..?

Dont even get me started on the 95 number in CCC..

Well for csgo i dont want a capped fps really because of input, 300 is fine for rest tbh but why is the cap in msi 200? OR am i missing something?

I sent you a mail Kun. :)

Does anyone know if there are any plans to increase the frame limiter in CCC from 95 fps?

I want to set it at 144 but it only seems to go up to 95 for some reason.

We're always looking to improve FRTC, VSR, and all the features included in Catalyst Control Center. As and when we have anything to announce, we'll be sure to let everyone know about it. :)
