The AMD Driver Thread

So what kinds of gains are people getting on the ashes benchmark?

None at all here.

This was benched using the "Crazy" preset.

NOTE:
We are aware that a small number of users are experiencing crashes with GTA V on some AMD Radeon™ R9 390X GPUs. We have made changes that should resolve the issue for most users. We will continue to monitor user feedback on this issue.

My GTA V is crashing after the last GTA V update, so I guess it is a mix of Rockstar and AMD's fault? (but I have 3x 7950s)

Does anyone know if there are any plans to increase the frame limiter in CCC from 95 fps?

I want to set it at 144 but it only seems to go up to 95 for some reason.

We're always looking to improve FRTC, VSR, and all the features included in Catalyst Control Center. As and when we have anything to announce, we'll be sure to let everyone know about it. :)

On the topic of FRTC can we have the option to enable it per game rather than globally. Maybe add the option to individual game profiles. I would prefer some games to be fixed at 60 but others to be unlimited when required.

AMDmatt,

It apears I am getting microstutter in crossfire mode in the Battlefield engine games and some others such as Hitman Absolution. It's most noticeable when panning the camera left to right where jerkyness/skipping is seen. I never noticed this until I played Battlefront Beta which was not as smooth as the PS4 version. The games work smoothly in single card mode. I've tried all the usual stuff for Battlefield 4 and Battlefront such as enabling triple buffering , vsync etc in the user.cfg file but nothing works. It may be related to Windows 10 since I never had this problem in Windows 7.

I managed to fix the problem in Hitman by installing Radeon Pro and enabling Triple Buffering so I assume it is related to how the game engines buffer frames. Is there any universal fix for such an issue or is it something that I need to test per game? Can drivers cause this?

Also is it possible to add the Triple buffering option for Direct3D in CCC? Saves having to use a third party program.

Does Crossfire work in full screen windowed mode? One of the Flight Sims I use runs this way so was just wondering before a possible purchase of another Fury card.

Only if the game is using Mantle, but not in DirectX or OpenGL - you'll need proper full screen mode for Crossfire to kick in with those. Any way to force the sim into exclusive full screen mode?

Ok, not been following the drivers for a while, but if I am not mistaken now you can use same driver for both the Fury and 290 ?? Asking since I might got some problem with my Fury and need to swap it out with my 290 and see if any difference. Just thought I ask before I do it so not uninstalling and installing drivers if not needed. :)

Sorry for newbie question though and yes, should really keep myself better informed regarding drivers.. :o
