The AMD Driver Thread

EVE online is borderline unplayable with these drivers, Runs perfect on all other iterations.
Sods laws dictates that the one game that I'm in the mood for playing has been negatively affected by the new drivers.

I haven't tried these to see if it fixes my crash to desktop problem on battlefront. So far so good on the old 15.7.1's except for the stutter when the map loads.

Star Wars still screwed for me on 390 crossfire setup. Doesn't matter what lighting setting I select, I get blacked out textures in front of me on all maps. And also core clock fluctuations. Pic below is full Ultra @ 1440p, still no good. Come on AMD, not good enough and another report posted.

Back to using 1 card for now again.

atleast your gpu scaling is good.

After finding the Crimson update does not fix the clock speed issues I decided that today I would play the final chapter in Telltales Game of Thrones series.
Chapter 6 has been available for several weeks but due to being busy with some modding work I cant do I decided to play the final chapter.
I was looking forward too it until it started

Chapters 1 to 5 were fine but I played the last of those months ago.

Is this another AMD driver issue?

I've tried it at every setting there is but nothing gets rid of it.

Have you tried the above fixes?

Looking at AMD's patch notes for the last driver, it looks like it was an issue on their end:

Star Wars™: Battlefront - Snow flickers in a few locations in the game
Star Wars™: Battlefront - Sky rendering may be broken in some game locations
Star Wars™: Battlefront - Shadowy textures are visible around hills/structures/caves

See post 9224 Tony said it wasn't fixes before the patch.
Maybe it needed work from both amd and dice.

The black snow issue was happening on both single card and crossfire when using the original Crimson drivers Shanks, only way to stop that happening originally was to lower lighting to medium and it would render correctly on single card. Crossfire was still borked back then no matter what the setting.

Now with the latest Crimson driver, you can use Ultra lighting on single card and not get the black snow issue so it looks like that was an AMD problem and is now fixed. When using crossfire on the new driver however, there are black textures on every map and not just the snow maps, and there is no fixing that by dropping down graphic settings.
