The AMD Driver Thread

Okay, I'm not entirely sure what post processing is supposed to do but from those pix, if it is all about graphical effects then having a dull looking floor when it is set to medium and a partly shiny floor when set to ultra....well, maybe it's just an added effect. You can get shiny polished wooden floors you know...maybe this is a partly worn out wooden floor and the added FX are supposed to make it look that way. As in more realistic.

Not trying to be funny but do you get what I mean?

If it's shimmering in a non polished floor kinda way then okay, it's probably an issue.
:D

Yeah, I just looked at it again and it certainly seems like there are added reflections of the light sources from the sun and the windows.

You need to see it in action really, the shiny surface shimmers, like it's got lots of dots as artifacts and the all flicker.

The weird thing is I don't get this on 16.7.3, but it does happen on all newer drivers. Any clues from anyone??

Is anyone else getting an annoying pop up window about new drivers? I close them but after a while they come back up again. They really need to add a setting to disable update checking and pop ups. Disabling the task in Windows doesn't seem to solve it. I'll update the drivers when I feel I need to update them, don't need to keep pestering me about it all the time .

Yep. I'm currently on 16.11.1 and it's popped up a couple of times this morning. Which is odd as I've always set it - during install and in the driver settings - not to check for updates and previoulsy that has always seemed to work, with no reminder pop ups.
So may just be a bug in the recent set?

No pop-ups for me, never actually.

You can turn off the notifications which stops the popups, its under preferences

just downloaded the new 16.11.2 and tried out BF1, crossfire in MP is still bad. Played Senai desert had negative scaling and a really horrible jerky experience. Back to 1 card, although I'm amazed at how well it holds above 70fps at Ultra and 1440p on just 1 390. It's a brilliant performing title.

Yep, everytime i switch on/reboot, the bubble pops up from the system tray, new drivers available, and when i go into the notifications its there, so i just clear it, until next time i switch on/reboot, when i have to do it again.

Think it's a W10 issue, as my Razer Synapse software does exactly the same thing.

Had to completely uninstall/reinstall synapse to stop the annoying notification popups.
