The AMD Driver Thread

Just go to mouse options, turn on "drag effects" and then put the effects to minimum. Mouse stays as it should with virtually no visual effects.

problem with that is it makes the mouse pointer disappear in some of my games, oh and it looks horrible. Thanks for the tip though.

Ive enabled freesync which has lowered my refresh rate to 90hz (35-90hz support) and it hasnt happened yet... I wonder if its refresh rate linked? Maybe only 144hz causes the problems... hmm

Latest ones are awful for me. Playing ESO all the grass flashes and theres a huge performance drop. Went back to 17.1.2.

The first few relive drivers were great, what's going on :/

Which monitor is it?
I had an Asus Dominator which is an 144 hz panel where Freesync only works between 35 & 90,
I thought it was a horrible monitor and sent it back after about a week and half that was filled with problems.
You have to be very careful to make sure you get the right one when buying a Freesync branded panel.
I had two horrible ones before getting a good one.

Had that annoying watt man bug on my 480 recently even though I didn't change any voltages etc and amd claimed to of fixed it. Had to remove all drivers and reinstall the same one :/ even though I was on newest anyway

I can't seem to find it any ideas?

Check...
Radeon Settings \ Gaming \ Global Settings \ Global Graphics \ Power Efficiency = Off

Might want to turn off the Frame Rate Target Control as well if that is on and you don't want to use it.

Also look at the settings under...

Radeon Settings \ Gaming \ Global Settings \ Global Wattman

As a work around you could also look at running ClockBlocker.

Yep I reported this to AMD, can't believe they missed this since it has never been an issue with previous drivers, temporary fix is to disable "grass" in ESO settings or go back to an earlier driver.

Looks like this option is not available in the 290x, why do Amd always Pratt about with this stuff. On one druverthe clocks are ok then the next it's all over place then the have to fix it again, just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, sorry just noticed the 290's in your sig (I only log in if I'm going to comment and sigs don't show up unless I do).
ClockBlocker might still be worth a go, it basically forces the card to run at 100% clocks when gaming.

Is there anyway to adjust mic volume with relive?

First time I've had a mic on when saving a clip and the mic volume is really low. It's set to full volume in windows, but in relive it's so quiet. It's fine in obs, teamspeak, discord etc, only relive is quiet. Modmic 4.0.

Not used Relive but the quick way would probably be to just adjust the game volume down and then boost the overall volume of the clip if needed once done.
Or the more 'professional' way would be to record your commentary in a separate app (like Audacity) and then mix that in when you edit the video together.

They probably expect you to use the audio sliders in Windows.. just like they expect you to use the gamma slider in Windows.

This doesnt help those that stream on Twitch etc to record while streaming live, theres a lot missing in ReLive and i dont see these being added for a while yet.. cant even adjust the game volume in ReLive yet. AMD need to get these features put in sooner, rather than later.

They'd already stated it was fine in things like OBS, so I'm assuming streaming - for them at least - is fine and the issue is just on videos. I'm also pretty sure pretty much every game has it's own volume sliders for things like volumes and being able to do things like mute copyrighted music to avoid content id etc is become more prevalent.

Have you never seen twitch chat complain the game is volume if to high? And how was that dealt with by the streamer? My guess is ~99% of the time they just go into the game options and adjust from there.

But yeah, don't waste any brain cells on thinking about it, just moan about it instead and ask for yet another way to do something that can already be done.
