I was expecting a yes as in the past you could do mismatches like a 7970 with a 280x or a 290x with a 390x as well as matches like a 7950 with a 7970 or a 290 with a 290x, I thought Polaris would be the same.

Someone had a mining version without ports and was going to crossfire with a normal one, didnt check up how that turned out but was on the forum here recently.

They'll have prevented it in the drivers, as theres absolutely no reason whey they couldn't be crossfired, seen as they are the same cards.
Its not worth doing though anyway, as Crossfire is utter gash

Yea, RX 590 Crossfire results are pretty poor here anyway, bar a few games..

Just a couple things I would check, I know it's definitely a driver issue has it doesn't do it on older versions.
Power options is Pcie link speed enabled by any chance.
Am looking it this thinking some sort power saving issue but at the same time it's doing it on power saving GPU mode?
This is a strange one, it's very similar to what I was getting that time I spoke with you and I needed to higher fan speed to keep GPU core temp in check.
The LEDs tell you everything that is happening with Vega core speed. For me to keep my GPU at P7 I needed to reduce the load to keep the GPU cool, undervolt and under clock did the trick.
Also worth checking is the GPU hot spot
Again it doesn't explain why its only happening on recent drivers

Yes it's doing it on power save mode also.
Hotspot on 73c at absolute highest.
And regarding the Leds, so they aren't linked to GPU load/activity? So does the LED on the card reflect the 8 power states In Wattman?

If more people realised how good these LEDs are they would want them on all GPUs. Am disappointed it's not on Vega 7
Each state = the LED on the GPU.

Yes @LtMatt, also does this when Relive not enabled. I might uninstall the driver and chose to not install Relive when prompted, you never know.
Also, I've tried to set p6 as minimum but it still drops way lower than that.
Lol never knew they reflected the P States....all the messing around I've done with this card since launch day and completely overlooked how obvious it was lol. Every day a school day.

I figured it out quite early on, I do think Amd should have demoed this more though. Tech Led you think it is GPU load, it looks like GPU load etc
They missed an opportunity here man I love this feature and am sure you not alone on this one Tony.
