Will get it installed later lol isn't it funny that the D3D driver is old than 13.4 yet its performing better lol

Yeah normally the later revision is the newer file.

Thanks Matt.
13.5 beta 2 with cap 1 is the one one i will install now you've done the testing for us :)

The latest caps are included i think in 13.5 beta 2 but it won't hurt to have 13.4 caps installed just in case.

I'll re-run my CF 1080 and 1440 benches later when I'm back. Providing these drivers haven't gimped my OC even more.

Matt: when are you going to get a pair of rusty's? :D

p.s. I would get another 7970 if I were you. Look in the MM.

If i can't get my hands on the accelero hybrid then i will look into picking up either a 7950/7970 cheap in the MM.

EDIT

Its a shame actaully wish id bought tommys 7950 DD off him for £150.

AMD has released an updated WHQL-certified version of it's 13.3beta driver, cunningly named AMD Cataylst 13.4. Included, along with support for the AMD Radeon HD 7790 and today's AMD Radeon HD 7990 cards, are new OpenGL feature support:

AMD Catalyst 13.4 includes support for the following OpenGL 4.3 features:
GL_ARB_compute_shader
GL_ARB_multi_draw_indirect
GL_ARB_shader_storage_buffer_object
GL_ARB_arrays_of_arrays
GL_ARB_clear_buffer_object
GL_ARB_ES3_compatibility
GL_ARB_explicit_uniform_location
GL_ARB_fragment_layer_viewport
GL_ARB_invalidate_subdata
GL_ARB_program_interface_query
GL_ARB_shader_image_size
GL_ARB_stencil_texturing
GL_ARB_texture_buffer_range
GL_ARB_texture_query_levels
GL_ARB_texture_storage_multisample

A new Catalyst Application Profile is available for Catalyst 13.4, CAP 1; which is not needed if you elect to use the non-WHQL beta performance driver, Catalyst 13.5.

AMD Catalyst Application Profiles include support for AMD single GPU, AMD CrossFire, AMD Dual Graphics, and AMD Enduro™ Technology configurations
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct: Fixes image quality issues when enabling Anti-Aliasing through the AMD Catalyst Control Center
Crysis 3: Improves CrossFire performance in 3 and 4 GPU configurations
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Improves CrossFire performance
Unigine Heaven: Improves CrossFire performance in 3 and 4 GPU configurations
Hitman Absolution: Resolves application issues when running application at 1680x100 with 8xAA enabled
AMD Enduro Technology profile updates:
Alien Colonial Marines – acm.exe
BioShock Infinite – BioShockInfinite.exe
Crysis 3 – Crysis3.exe
GodMode – GodMode.exe
Grid 2 – grid2.exe
Hawken – HawkenLauncher.exe
Neverwinter – gameclient.exe
SimCity – SimCity.exe
Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army – NZA.exe
The Walking Dead Survival Instinct – WalkingDead.exe
Tomb Raider – TombRaider.exe
Kapersky Anti-virus - avt.exe

AMD Catalyst 13.5 provides the latest updates for use with all cards, including frame latency smoothness fixes for specific titles, but also resolves corruption in Tomb Raider when TressFX is enabled under HD 7790 cards

No need to use the caps for 13.5 beta 2 drivers single + multi gpu users.

I take it according to the 'reviewers' my 7970 CF should be showing those frame times bouncing all over the place??

Fraps doesn't/can't show the bouncing frame times, it's FCAT/high speed cameras that picks it up.

the value of performance gained by of adding a second GPU is completely useless

Claims of the second card doesn't work is baffling as it certainly works on FS 120Hz 3D, CrossFire for me is 100% the deciding factor between playable and not playable in the slightest on same settings.

It's a shame you need expensive hardware to inform you something is 'wrong' that your eyes can't perceive, but the bottom line it will 'improve' end user experience.

Helpful stuff you may/may not want to add on your fantastic thread pgi TIPS:D:

1.
NOTE! You must un-install AMD Catalyst 13.4 (if you have already installed AMD Catalyst 13.4) before installing AMD Catalyst 13.5 Beta

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/amdcatalyst13-5winbetadriver.aspx

(Could save a headache or two for those that install 'over the top')

2. Trixx(I'm sure it's w1zzard from tpu that's the author btw) can add voltage to gpu's such as the 'newer cheaper' voltage locked XFX DD 7950's.

3. There is the unoffical GPUtweak 2.2.14 that can add up to 1.4v and can also bypass some voltage locked gpu's too(7950 DD again).

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?24233-unoffical-GPUtweak&country=&status=

Its a shame actaully wish id bought tommys 7950 DD off him for £150.

It was cheap, but I imagine you would have cracked up too over time as it neutered my 70(high clocking v's not that much clocking) and required mucking about at times, although I never new there was a modded trixx that does memory voltage, if it worked out, I might have held onto it, but I'm happy with my Ice-Q's though.

When you install 13.5 beta it also install a "Mircrosoft visual etc" so im wondering when im prompted by Windows Update to install this:

Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (KB2467173)

Do i update it to this or just ignore it? Im sure i had this before the install of the driver

Install it. I would. It's just a security update.

If high speed cameras pick it up, if someone has the video editing skills they can slow down and review the video I'll upload tonight @ 1080 120fps.

Afterburner recording decent enough? I had a brief look at it last night, seems it should allow me to record at any desired frame rate and quality.

Edit: I installed the beta over the top of the whql, so I'll remove it all tonight to avoid conflicts :)

Should be ok i guess. I don't know much about this.
