Just because I haven't seen it mentioned, ZeroCore/ULPS is still broken in the latest leaked drivers. Second GPU is active the whole time and doesn't shut down at idle. Other than that, nice set of drivers so far.
I know, self quoting makes you go blind.
I've fired up the PC this morning and the second GPU is quite happily going into standby and waking up when it should. I guess it took 2 reboots for ZeroCore to work properly with the latest betas. Apologies for the duff information yesterday.

If your card runs at stock, then you shouldn't need to. But what's the harm? Let your card draw as much power as it wants, should it need to. Put it at 20. Fire and forget.

I set my standard 7970 to ghz edition levels (1000/1500) and upped the power control settings to 20. No issues at all and a nice little boost! Do it

If you're overclocking it should always be at +20% otherwise the card will throttle when you overclock the core and add voltage. You'll know its throttling as the core clock will drop, so will gpu usage and in extreme circumstances the voltage will drop and the card may enter another clock state.
Anymore news on the drivers to optimize 7*** series cards for mantle?
I'm running the 13.12 drivers atm, have tried all the 14.** beta's and no great gains so far. I know the new driver is out soon but is this going to be mainly for the 295's or are we going to see some daylight for us 7*** guys?

Have you tweaked the Dice Mantle frame pacing? Because everyone i know who has followed my instructions to tweak or disable it has got it running perfectly on any gpu.
The driver you're referring to is due anytime now. Its coming this month, but thats all i know. New APU drivers recently appeared on the AMD site so i don't think it will be much longer before the main (WHQL) driver appears.
Hmmmm I must have missed those instructions sir, care to link them to me?
And I want to know from people with the FX-8350 with xfire 7970's how they are getting along with the Mantle experience/drivers.

Well, it seems GPU Usage is much the same, very rarely going over 80%, gameplay is fine but since I got my 2 x 7970's, I have struggled to get constant 90's in GPU usage.
Settings mostly on high but using full (ultra) settings on this right now.

What is the problem exactly, low gpu usage? What are fps like? Are you using vsync or an fps limit?

Yeah GPU usage will not hit constant high (90's onwards) fps is usually good, vsync off.....
I need to know I am not wasting my system on 2 GPU's because its not using them both to the max, that's all.

How do you know you're gpu's are not hitting 99% constant with no overlay available on Mantle? If performance is good and smooth, what's the issue? Have you tried with your system at stock to rule out a dodgy overclock somewhere? Is this on all maps or one specifically?
System is at stock, no cpu/gpu o/c and I'm using AB on my Logitech display for usage readouts, it just pains me to see some of you guys with AB readouts with your graphs constantly in the high 90's and like I say I would be happy to have bought the extra 7970 to get the full potential of having crossfire. If my system can't get full usage out of these cards then all well and good, but if its a setting here or there then I could find it
