To me it looks that the monitor is allright: I ran it under W7 , allright, scaling and font problems. Yestardy I installed W8.1 and the support from within the OS is allright . Monitor gave and is giving a clear picture, no flickering in 2D , but.. no 60Hz.

When I downscale the resolution to full HD or WHQD I can run 60 Hz no problem, but the ultimate resolution does not work at 60Hz.
AT Tomshardware one guy wrote that with a pair of 290s he had had the exactly same issue like me /us/ and bought a pair of 780s instead and BANG- 60 Hz out of the box.

The other wrott that replacing the 290 with 770 had solved the problem as well..

There is a hell of a lot of people complaining about signal loss and popping noise on different makes of monitor.

One thing in common - they all use the same panel.

That to me is a hardware flaw (IMO)
 
I am not using the speakers on the monitor, however, during the installation of the OS the high defninition audio could be heard and both speakers ran OK. AFter that I ve installed XFI drivers and started to use the headphones.

What do you mean by signal loss- that flickering " of mine " ;) or an unstable Picture at 2D ?

My screen flickers and pops once, every time I switch the monitor on.

Then it works flawless.
 
I have tried it just right now, because I am keeping the moni on all the time.
No flickering , popping here.. but, sadly, 30Hz

AOC, Samsung , Asus Iyama are /will be using the same panel / LG..?/ , so, there ll be some difference only in the controlling electronics

There seems to be a issue with some and not others :confused:

Another issue seems to be that people using AMD cards,

are having issues with these new SST variant 4K's but are runnings the MST ones no problem.

As you know one our friends who got a free 290X 8GB card is having this problem.

Fortunately Thracks is on the case for him.:)

Me too , but going on with Cat 14.6beta without even actually checking their 4K capability ... I do not know - it s like going 130Mph in the fog -)
 
Anyone had issues with Arma3 crossfire? I fired it up (first time in a while) the other night and I'm getting significantly less FPS now (<40) than what I did probably 3-4 months ago (>40>x>80)
14.4 release.
X-fire is 7950's @ 900mhz
