Let me know if things like that are better on 8 please, as I have a licence but just can't bare to drag myself away from 7.

T'is a good point, I remember that article and a few here jumped on it and even laughed at some of the 4K users having problems. The fact remains though, this shouldn't happen and hope it is a quick fix like Thracks said and not something that takes a year (like the frame pacing).
Keep on them bud and hopefully back to normal soon.
Just out of curiosity, does it do it if you lower the desktop res to say 1080P? If not, might pay to run it like that and game at 4K till they have it fixed.
Greg do you use W7?
I heard W8.1 has better support for 4k with text scaling and such.

No no no!!! I don't want to come away from my beloved Windows 7.
I will have to when I get fibre installed and go for a clean install as well.
Ok so i have a Samsung 40 inch Full HD TV being repaired and will get it back by the end of the week. Question is will a 1.4 HDMI cable work with the TV's 1.3 HDMI port?
Just a bit confused cuz when googling this, some say it didnt work but im thinking it should be backwards compatible.

Just a quick update, got my ASUS 4k monitor today.
I have none of the problems that people are mentioning. The only issue I have is on a cold boot my PC gets stuck at the BIOS splash screen. I have to open the boot menu and boot manually. No idea why.
Also I'm going to have to get used to 60Hz againI now get tearing in games ;(
They get very hot much faster at 4k
I need Windows 8 to get the text scaling now. Kinda straining my eyes.
Yep I even get 99% usage in ARMA 3
I hope my peasant £440 cards can keep up.
Well I just decided I'm sending the monitor back
I have dead pixels![]()
