It will always happen if you don't use Auto! I want to see evidence of it happening with my User.Cfg file and with Page File size on AUTO. Then it might be worth investigating further and replaying that info to Dice/AMD.

I will get round to it. I want to use mantle on one card without totally disabling crossfire which can be achieved by setting a profile under bf4.exe, but when mantle is in use it forces crossfire but it doesn't do it under DX11.

Any other settings I can do to force one card under mantle without totally disabling crossfire.

I think at the moment you have to physically disable crossfire in CCC to stop it working in BF4. You're correct, creating a profile does not work with Mantle.

Something for them to look at? would it be possible to forward this onto powers that be? I don't use crossfire in bf4 cus simply is doesn't need it and would be wasting power (expensive) for nothing.

I will pass it on. Actually I've already done so prior to this, but a reminder wouldn't hurt would it. :)

No it wouldn't. DX is ok and nothing really wrong with it, but Mantle (when working) does provide a MUCH better experience.

Locky Dont take this the wrong way, but Mantle AMD have no control over it once the Devs build a game on it. The issue with BF4 are not AMD fault, its Dice you should put the blame onto.

Go and try other Mantle games out and you see for yourself how good they work. Since the last BF4 patch they have been issue on both side of the fence with CPU spikes and stutter, check Battlelog forums and you see, even people on here was having issues.

Mantle isn't like DX where AMD can release a driver and give more etc Mantle is all down to the Dev.

fair enough, what is AMD's fault is the fact that Mantle forces crossfire while being set to off in the game profile.

Disabled here when I switch off Crossfire, driver 14.7 windows 8.1 when you say game profile are you trying to disable Crossfire by adding BF4 to CCC with Profile? If so that profile is only for DX version. To disable Xfire for mantle you will need to do what I have shown.

Ah ok. Well let me know how you get on.

Well the good news is 4K gaming is insane, and my two 290x's seem to kick its arse, lows of 60FPS, average of 90FPS, and highs over just over 110FPS, good enough for me, and both GPU's are now being maxed out @ 100% usage.

The bad news is the temps my GPUS are hitting, probably due to the 100% load, I'm using MSI gaming and have problems with the latest beta drivers as it was, now I'm hitting 94 and throttling. Don't no whether to roll back to 14.4 and see if I get better temps with them.....

Just do what any normal thinking person would do in your situation, up the fan speed and improve your case airflow. Enjoy.

Not as simple as that, fans 100% case wide open (no sides or front) still 94C

Got a picture of your setup? Your cards must be pretty close together I'd bet.

You can probably undervolt your cards a bit and leave them at stock clocks. I can manage -0.050v on my cards at stock clocks.

I feared as much. I'd recommend removing all the spare pci brackets from the rear of your case. I'd also recommend front fans with a very high static pressure rating, like these. You'll need to force cold air between your two cards as best as possible. The problem is you have two cards, close together both dumping heat in your case with no where for it to escape.
