**THE AMD DRIVERS THREAD**

Any idea if AMD will be working on the DX11 portion of the drivers like Nvidia have? Making them more multi-threaded, getting rid of latencies etc. Mantle is great and I know DX12 is being shown even now, but there'll be a bunch more DX11 games for a long time yet...

This would be excellent. Then they could claim performance advantages in D3D11 aswell as Mantle.

i don't think it's a vrm heat issue. it seems to be a core temp issue has anything over 70c it becomes unstable.

Interesting. Fancy trying to reseat the gpu and replace the paste? OcuK allow that without voiding warranty on PCS cards.

Well the new RC3 drivers have been a huge improvement for me personally on BF4. Crashes not eliminated but practically so. Definitely reduced massively. Had 2 crashes in about 5 hours played as opposed to more than 1 an hour.

Improvement but not quite there :D.

My crashing was down to unstable memory timings and since i corrected that it's been fine. However the game has been a bit stuttery for me as of late. :(

tbh i don't think that'll do much, also i can only do that to one card.

after testing the other card it seems to be the same but it needs +50 voltage and below 70c to keep it stable.. so using them in cf at stock is impossible. either i need to under clock the core to 1000mhz or move the bottom card to the pice x4 slot which will be slower similar to under clock the core to 1000mhz or forget cf..

The latest RC3 driver has really knocked up my Watch Dogs fps. To think that on my old PC, with a GTX 460, I never remembered to update my driver.

Which driver should I be running please chaps.

Xfire 7970s (only play BF4 and will use Mantle).

Currently running 14.6 (beta I think) Iv'e tried the latest Beta but for some reason I get frame drops (memory leak?).

Cheers.

14.7 RC3 from AMD's site. :)

Yes there is a memory leak with BF4/Mantle at the moment, i get it too. I'm actually trying to help the AMD driver team replicate it to help Dice fix it.

I had stutter and FPS slowdown in BF4 for the first time in a long while last night.

It lasted for about 5 seconds and went away again, a little blip in what has been for a long time absolutely rock solid!, i got excited when it happened, "Ooouuuu...problem, i have a reason to tinker with it" but it wasn't to be....:(

I posted a screenshot in the BF4 thread a few days back and i was using 10gbs of dram and rising 100mb every few seconds.

lol... thats a big leak

Hey there, currently running 2x 290xs under water which are going brilliantly. Got a small problem though: when running some games I'm getting some weird audio stuttering from my sound card.

Having had a quick google search it appears though its a problem with having v-sync enabled, though am getting some stuttering while war thunder is minimised and v-sync is definitely NOT turned on on that... Any news on any possible fixes other than turning off v-sync or going a long way back on drivers?
