you mentioned you're playing in dx11 on bf4 right now Matt due to the memory leak - would you mind posting a few shots of the perf graph.

i was thinking that with your extra cores and the better XDMA crossfire (with frame pacing built in) it should still be pretty sweet.

Thanks Old Boy

Sure will do next time I'm on Dave.

OMG i swapped to DX11 for a game BF4 tonight - the fps look ok, but it felt like crap!!!

On a side note is it too late to get another tri-x??

Never too late mate. BF4 is a bit of a mess at the moment. Try this and it should smooth things out a bit. Vsync on, fps cap set to 59. Or disable vsync and set fps cap to a number you rarely drop under.

The last couple of months BF4 issues are weird. Some have it some dont. I had it now I don't and others have it that didn't before.

Mine was CPU spiking and it's just dissappeared. I find I have to reinstall drivers fortnightly and maybe one of these fixed it. Don't know.

I did read on my quest to find the answer that some folk were pointing towards the server side of how the packets were send making the CPU stutter. I know nowt about internet traffic but I'd have thought a modern processor could handle packets of game data without causing stutter but what do I know. But this may mean something to those in teh know.

Anyone workout the cause of CPU stutter?

They look identical.

That's because they are :D this is just the RC 14.7 now WHQL am sure once AMD release these on site we also see 14.8 beta

Only real change here is new CCC and OGL is bit newer.
i want to see this new UI thats apparently coming, the old one is very dated.

How is crossfire these days with the newer drivers? I have just ordered another 270 after seeing some decent benchmark results but now wondering if I have done the right thing. I had 2 x 6950's a few years ago and didn't like the micro stutter but read things are better now

Cheers

My 7970's are nice and smooth so you should be fine ...
