Does the grid autosport actually work properly in crossfire for anyone? I get less fps and stupid slowdown to like 20 fps with crossfire enabled but with single card I get about 10fps more and its as smooth as silk.

i get between 98 - 137fps fully max out at 1080p, tbh the usage is only about 85% on both cards

So I see 14.9 is out...

All the beta's since 14.4 have given me an odd error. Basically they install fine but after 2 or 3 reboots I get a black screen upon the PC turning on, all I can see is my mouse cursor. Absolutely nothing works to correct it.

Anyone have any idea's on this?

Guys found a fix for when installing drivers at the end you sometimes dont get a green tick.
Its because of DDU it removes a file that when installing new driver it dont find it and give the error.

Fix is this credit to MojoW worked first time for me.
What i did to fix that was use windows uninstaller first before using DDU.
I used to uninstall directly from DDU and always had the same problem untill i did it this way and never had that problem again.
So now i uninstall the catalyst software untill it prompts you to restart then press no and run DDU to go to safe mode or do it manually

Noticed lower temps guys :D CSGO with a unlocked frame rate of 300fps can be quite demanding on a GPU. Normally I hit 75c on single card

Just now after playing only 68c :D

Do you know when we can expect down sampling Matt? Also do AMD have any plans to introduce old Skool adaptive v-sync like the one in the Nvidia drivers/radeon pro.

Oh any news on a 290 price drop as well? OcUK dropped their prices for a best part of a week - on the tri-x anyway...

Another thing any chance AMD will start using command line queuing in it's dx11 drivers-these gave Nvidia a nice little boost in bf3 and I believe the same is true for bf4. If you could find out an answer either way that would be great.

This AMD gig do they just pay you in cards or us it the day job now then???

DX11 Command lists that's not going to happen and the DX11 command lists in BF4 was dropped by dice as it was too buggy.

Hello Dave,

As i told Shankly earlier. I'm unable to comment on potential new updates to the Catalyst Center suite, however as soon as there is an update to this situation I'll be sure to let you and everyone else here know about it.

What i can tell you is information that is publicly available already. Richard Huddy said to Maximum PC podcast that an 'overhaul' of CCC is in the works. ;)

As for my job, it's my day job and i absolutely love it. Working for a company like AMD is great and yes there is a lot of hardware too. Great if you're an enthusiast. :)

Good find Shanky. I have to admit I've had this problem with DDU before which is why i always uninstall normally first, restart into safe mode then use DDU before installing the new driver.

thats a good temp, my 290 ( XFX ) in BF4 was topping 70c , would it have any affect on idle temps I was getting 45c on idle

My idle temps hasn't changed, still 33c-38c. Will let you know if load temps are any diff but I haven't been gaming yet, because I installed the drivers just before going to bed last night.

Ive noticed the zerocore feature still not any better tho, because when my screen turns off, the card turns off for a few secs/mins and then on again:mad:

Ohhhh Nice! I play CS:GO and have the same 'problem' like you. On 200fps, it goes to around 70-75c. Hopefully it will be lower now.

I always ask this but....do I need to stay using driver sweeper to upgrade? Or can I just re-install the new drivers?

Are the new drivers broke :o

Mine wanted to auto update this morning which I let them do which just presented me with a black screen and PC crash... So went into safe mode and cleaned out the drivers, installed them manually when back into Windows and got the black screen again. Did the same process and installed the older drivers and now my machine is fine.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue? This is on Windows 7 64bit with a 290.

Fair play.

Grats on the job Matt, it'll be great to have someone that really uses the hardware looking afer our problems/providing fixes.

Looking forward to news on v-sync stuff and downsampling. It would be great if AMD could get the overclocking in CCC better as well. It would be great to not have to use trixx/afterburner etc - it would be great to avoid all those little clashes of software...

Thank you and i agree exactly with the sentiment. You can be sure I'll always be at the forefront where Radeon, gaming and any potential problems are, as well as providing fixes to those problems. :)
