Most likly it is a weak dp controller(dont like volt) but its important they nead to know.

Maybe they can fix it for future cards if they know the probs![]()
Duly noted Pulse.

Sorry GM, i edited my post to actually write something this time.
To save you going back, I don't think you can unless a DP-DVI dongle works. Even then I'm not 100% sure on that. I will have to investigate.
Is there a Ryse Son of Rome crossfire profile in these drivers, Matt?
Yay, Shadow of Morder CF works well now, and the sound crackling (from vsync being on) seems to be reduced too, though it's certainly still happening.
A Ryse profile would probably be good to have for Star Citizen![]()
Hello everyone,
Click here to visit our Graphics Drivers and Software page and click on “Latest Windows Beta Driver” to download the driver.
Please note the Catalyst 14.9.1 Beta driver will continue to be listed, along with the Catalyst 14.9 WHQL. This is because Catalyst 14.9.2 Beta driver is only supported on GPU’s supporting GCN hardware.
For instructions on how to uninstall or install the AMD Catalyst Software Suite, you may refer to the following support resources:

Can you tell me a little more about the sound cracking? Please provide a detailed description of how to recreate it and a dxdiag txt file and i will report the issue and see if we can replicate it.
Has been happening for me ever since I've had my 295X2 while using CF and with Vsync on, while using any drivers from 14.7 on, the oldest I've used.
I do have some high DPC latency at times, though I just updated the Realtek drivers to those from Realtek themselves (rather than the old ones from ASRock) and that seems to have improved but not entirely eliminated the DPC latency problems - nothing else helped, and all my drivers are up to date. But, while using a single GPU there's no sound crackle problem which gives me the notion it's not particularly DPC related. It also wasn't ever a problem on my 770.

I first noticed the problem in Skyrim, which I think was the first game I tried on the 295X2. It's also quite noticeable in Shadows of Mordor, in Star Citizen (racing mode particularly) and Alien Isolation. Briefly tried Civ 5, which doesn't crackle. It basically reveals itself in almost every game that I've recently tried or played anyway.
One more notable thing I just tried: the SE3 benchmark (OcUK forum benchmark thread settings, 1440p) crackles slightly with Vsync on, even in Mantle mode ... which I know to not use both GPUs. In this bench the crackle is not as obvious as in other games and can be hard to hear, but it's definitely there.
Just played XCOM and found that with 290CF @ 4K I get really bad flashing and stuttering. If I set up a profile for the game and run a single card the flashing and stuttering stop. I played this game at 1080p with 7950CF and didn't have this issue.
Anyone else noticed this type of behaviour?
