I did have a case of PEBKAC not too long ago when I installed my MSI 7950 over my GB I couldn't get even 1100 stable anymore... turns out my MSI AB installation needed cleaning out completely and re-installing as the cards weren't taking the voltage :D.

Even the best you see. But because I'm so intelligent I worked it out. It was a secret until now but now you know.

I suspect something like that somewhere is causing a problem for you now because a new driver just doesn't knock 150mhz off of your last stable overclock. That's just not cricket Rusty.

Mate I've re-installed Windows since then and it's the same. It's the flaming driver!

I'd be the last person in the world to scream driver issue but it is a driver issue of sorts. 13.1 WHQL resolves it.

Could explain why my 7970 won't go over 1100 even at 1.25v on the 13.3 drivers, it will either artifact or crash.

Oc tools coming tonight, I'll host the modded trixx too.

Afterburner, trixx etc... are based on rivatuner, which was written by unwinder who now works for msi developing afterburner, hence why afterburner is better supported :)

Links to some other important threads coming tonight too.

I thought this had been sorted

No i don't think it has ever worked with Windows 8.

AMD said:
Description:
This standalone uninstallation utility will clean your system of any existing AMD Catalyst™ drivers to prepare your PC for the clean installation of a new driver version. Currently supports Windows 7 at this time.
After running the utility, a restart of the computer is required to fully remove driver files that may be in use during the uninstall process. Installing a new driver prior to a system restart may cause the operating system to not function properly.

I've read elsewhere that tool has also caused problems for Win 7 users.

It worked fine for me on Windows 7, it was not quite as thorough as Driver Fusion though. That's why i assumed it would be ok on Windows 8. To be honest ive had problems using every driver cleaner apart from Driver Fusion. Driver sweeper, atiman, this, they've all botched windows installs for me before. At least with driver fusion it sets a restore point and keeps a backup of all deleted files so you can restore easily if needed.
