Don't need CAPs anymore, other than that you're spot on. I've found Crossfire to be pretty much plug and play these days, but that could be because I'm too tight to buy games at launch anymore and tend to get them half price and a month or two down the line - could be I've simply been giving any new game issues times to get resolved?

I've been running Crossfire for a good few years now and couldn't go back - one card just looks so lonely through the case window! :D

Word.

LtMatt what are AMD doing to me ?

I just fired up the 290Xs on 14.6 and Crysis 3 to answer a question in another post and shock, horror there is no quadfire support.:(

I switch the drivers to 14.4 and quadfire support is back and working perfectly with scaling close to 100%.

Did someone have an off day at AMD with the 14.6 drivers.

I am using the new 14.6 RC drivers and can confirm very effective quad crossfire support in both Unigine Valley and Wildstar (UHD@60Hz, Win 8.1 64 bit), driving twin 7990s.

I'm really starting to believe what Nvidia users say about AMD drivers being awful.

All of a sudden I've started to get blue screens video driver related using 14.4 WHQL, just watching youtube videos. So I update to latest RC 14.6's from 24th June and when it installs and reboots it says no AMD hardware detected so I have to rollback to the 14.4's that are giving me bluescreens.

Arghhh

I just this min updated to 14.6 RC and all is fine, also using Msi card. I always use DDU though before install.

BSOD are hardware issue 9/10 over the years of dealing with them RAM is the number one suspect for giving BSOD.
When the Driver crashes, its always loaded into RAM if you happen to be using the GPU when the RAM fails it will list the last used Driver in your case GPU. Have you tested your RAM? if you have more than one stick you must test each one by one and change slots also.

If it still occurs after you've tested your memory and with your cpu/gpu/memory at stock then it could be a gpu/driver issue. Personally i find my gpu's to be the least likely causes of a BSOD. However it may be a gpu/driver issue as you were watching youtube so i guess it could be a flash/hardware acceleration issue.

What browser are you using for youtube? I've had a few funnies with FIrefox and the latest Flashplayer recently. Works fine in IE and Chrome though. Might be something like that?

Some games under the 14.6 (And 14.4) have artefacts, it's not my GPU being faulty as far as I can tell, because it's being reported by other people in the same manner.

State of Decay is one I've noticed issues on (Although it's worse on the lifeline DLC)

And FM 14 artefacts too (Fixed that by using software render though)

I'm using the 14.6 RC drivers and have not had a single issue.

It looks like it's literally just the odd game, like Witcher 1 on the 5870 at launch which didn't work properly for a while.

State of Decay is 75% off if you want to give it a bash and test it :p?

Only games I've had problems with are State of Decay at FM 14. Everything else has been flawless.

Sorry, this is a little off topic, but is State of Decay any good? I'd heard the PC version was a bit meh.

I thought State of Decay was a very solid game to be honest, could have been better, but it's an Indie game, it has a lot of potential.

I'd give it a 7.5/8 really.

I just bought State of Decay in the steam sale it was like £3 something anyway i had the 14.4 drivers and from the get go there is massive graphical glitches, i know it is supposed to have a lot of bugs but this is ridiculous i tried the 14.6 drivers but the same, i have a 7970 any ideas?
Thanks

Getting something really odd with 14.6RC

If I load Crysis 3 I only get support for a single card. If I hit Alt F4 and close the game then restart I get support for all 4 cards.

The good news is I get 98% to 100% usage on all 4 GPUs.
