** The AMD Navi Thread **

The noise is getting annoying...I was daft enough to buy a 50th anniversary, while it's admittedly cool (well not literally) to have it just does get a bit annoying even although initially I thought it's not that bad. A long gaming session does see it get annoying eventually.

Not sure what I'll do yet but can move it onto my brother without issue and like you minimal loss :) So I'll see how the AIB's do but also the 2080 Super (reference) at £669 is tempting me a bit.

Have you tried the auto undervolt? Have you tried to put a fan below the blower to push air through the fan? Do you have good positive air flow in the case?
Whats the case temps?

Case temps are fine, air flow is not an issue with a 140mm fan above the card (it's a Silverstone so it's direct onto the fan area of the card)...idles around 40 and load between 78-80 without the undervolt. Found the auto undervolt in the end to be a bit unstable which was weird as it was fairly conservative. Especially considering it's a 50th Anniversary Edition...in all honesty though you shouldn't really need to tweak and tweak and tweak like that on cards.

I do also find the Radeon Software especially to be pretty awful. But very impressed with some of the features such as Radeon Image Sharpening, you can tell the difference in some games...surprisingly even FIFA 19 just gets that extra bit of detail (noticeable on the grass) which is nice.

I'm trying to maintain high FPS on PUBG and that's pushing it really hard at 1440p. I'm still undecided on what to do but I've got the option of moving it on and replacing, will mess about again over the weekend but keeping my eye on options.

Have you tried to use DDU in safe more and install 19.7.3? I had no issues

Also, with the current exchange rate after conversion and tax we're basically at 1:1.
So $399 can be £399 without gouging.

You actually need closer to 1.30 for 1:1 typically unless the reseller is happy to make under 5% and is take no precaution what rate could be when goods paid for.

So $399 with a 1.20 rate would be around £409-429 to end user in UK.

If rate gets to 1.10 as predicted this market is rather shafted.

I got 2080Ti HOF cards $100 cheaper than last buy today which was over a month ago and the really sad news is our landed GBP cost is £10 higher than last time simply due to the weaker pound so that $100 discount was needed to just to try and maintain price. On a highly overclocked 2080ti there are good discounts to get from board partners but on the more mainstream stuff the discounts are none existent or much smaller.

I'm moving GBP to USD on my Revolut app. Instant transfers, no fees. 1.22 today so better than past week!
That and my BTC, hopefully some insulation until the useless Parliament stops voting both ways on Brexit :(

Half the length of the card is the cooler on it's own running the heatpipes :D
And 2x8pin connectors!!!! Not 8+6 the ref models have.
Yea it looks monstrous. I never usually go with Powercolor because of the red and black theme and crazy pentagram designs etc that they usually use. However this looks a lot more toned down for them. I'm pretty sure I'll still end up with whatever Sapphire show but who knows, even the Asus Tough Gaming has caught my eye.

Speaking of which, XFX's custom designs are called RAW and THICC

And surprisingly (after the last few XFX monstrosities) a very nice looking card :D
What's with XFX's naming schemes these last few years. This card looks better than the other design but still not great. Is that other card they showed off the Fatboy 2 then?

Probably someone with a sense of humour? Rare in this industry I know, apart from the jokers setting the prices of course! :p
Yes probably, not sure it will help their sales though but what do I know, people may like the Fatboy :) What prices are they asking for these cards. I didn't think prices had been revealed yet?
