** The AMD Navi Thread **

I had a watercooled Vega, very well tuned also. Replacing it with the 5700XT AE was a great move especially the DX11 games I play a lot namely WOT & ESO.
The gains just doesn't seem to be there for the price that I have to invest. Mainly due to the poor resale value of the vega series now. I'm lucky if I can get 230 for my nitro+ at this point.

Depends what everyone wants :) I had to change it because the EK Predator died, and using Morpheus II with the Vega 64 was annoying at best.

Nope def not worth it, my lc64 isn't a good clocker, but on a 360rad it runs 1700-1720core 1180-1200 hbm in games. In fs that's a 27.5k graphics score. In some games like bf, the Rx5700 clocked will see a 5-10fps over my setup.

Here's an old vid comparing the two, probably a bit old without latest drivers + the vega clocks are a little low.

They will type anything to justify the presence of this "big Navi" with 256-bit GDDR6, even if it is not exactly correct or honest. So, how is RX 5700 XT going against RTX 2060 / S, when its performance goes up to RTX 2070 / S ?

They've lumped both 5700 cards together into 1 Nvidia target bracket. It is correct to say the 5700 targets (and destroys) the 2060/S, but it is incorrect to omit the 5700 XT beats the 2070 and nips at the heels of the 2070S. But putting this information in makes the table slightly more complex and difficult to read for simple people.

Sapphire pulse vs power colour red dragon, any clear winner here? (5700xt)

Cant really see much difference between them besides £10 cost.

Which has the better rma/warranty?

Tom from Moore's Law Is Dead has had 2 sources "confirm" some Navi 12 specs.

256-bit memory bus
8GB RAM, possibly 16Gb/s modules rather than the 14Gb/s modules used on the 5700 series
No raytracing hardware

5800 XT has between 64 and 72 CUs (could nip at the heels of the 2080 Ti)
5800 has between 60 and 70 CUs (depending on where the XT falls, should best the 2080 and Radeon VII)

Launching this year (although I'd say paper launch).

2-stack HBM2 variant for professional use coming a few months into 2020.

Can't link directly to his 2 videos as YouTube is blocked at work, but his channel is easy to find.

Just ordered a 5700 Mech OC for the HTPC system*. :)

*Unless it doesn't fit and then my wife will have it and her 2080 will go in the HTPC. She wanted Bl3 anyway so makes the card ~ £300 not factoring in the 3 month gamepass.

Looking forward to messing around with it.
