** The AMD Navi Thread **

Surely this is just a dual GPU workstation card? Rendering and compute functions don't use Crossfire and don't need to appear as a single unit.

In fact, isn't this likely to be nothing more than a workstation version of the Radeon Pro V340?

Well there is that.
I was more on about the application of infinity fabric to a gamer orientated card.

Of course he doesn't, and never has. He's a pro - not something you could ever say about anyone associated with Wccf.

+1

I hate the fact that WCCF has grown to what it is off the back of making outrageous claims & posting fake news like it was a confirmed fact, Their willingness to do that is partly why Koduri named them as a news source when on stage at an event several months before Vega was due, Why? Because it kept people goggle eyed & helped him avoid flak up until the last minute when Vega was released. I didn't even go on the Internet until 2011/ish as up till then I'd had an active outdoors life & no time to sit around online like I do now & the one thing that's really stood out to me is how gullible people are, I didn't realise we (humanity) were that stupid en masse, People (especially the younger ones like teenagers) will believe anything if you can make it sound remotely plausible & that's what sites like WCCF take advantage of, They don't deserve their journalist passes, There's a lot of lesser known sites that are more deserving but spreading muck get's you places nowadays.

Its also true though that a lot of what we see from journalism is being fed by the PR machine of tech companies and software developers. To me that's really lazy and not much better than making **** up

So, what is unclear (well, at least to me) is that is this different to what we saw 2 weeks ago? as they announced the 5700 there and this is saying 5700XT - or is it just they hadn't announced the full name before?

Any thoughts?

They didn't announce anything specific, just a 5700 name. Then there's talk of 2 SKUs under the 5700 name with 180W and 225W TDPs. "5700 XT" is a little more specific, and in line with AMD giving us more details at E3; Computex was just a quickie.

So no, it's probably not different to what was shown at Computex, but now AMD are just being more specific about it.

Cool :)

Anyone else got the AMD E3 presentation in their calendar? :o :D
