** The AMD Navi Thread **

Will the xbox Two or whatever have faster GPU than a 5700XT, I just want to stay ahead of consoles because ima sit in my room with a lump of a tower pushing less fps than a tiny box console it just ain't happening I might have to kick the 1080ti out of bed.

So, all we need is Nvidia to launch a $100 price drop and announce these supers at the previous price point?

That would undercut AMD and increase Nvidia's monopoly to the point that Nvidia's next gen would be even more expensive and they'd have no reason to drop their prices anymore.
Athough a $100 price drop would be great short term, long term we'd be in serious trouble in my opinion because AMD couldn't compete.

But unfortunately what AMD have on offer just isn't really good enough for the majority.
I mean sure, it's a better deal than buying a 2070.

But given how long a 2070's been out, if people were after that price/performance they'd have bought a 2070.

Yeah cheaper than a 2070, decently faster, has a better software and driver ecosystem.
$50 cheaper.

Just got it, would have preferred say $439 though.

In the UK the pricing is retarded.

RX5700 is $380 which is £360 here when the RTX2060 is £300.
RX5700XT is $450 which is £425 when the RTX2070 is £450,and has been as "low" as £425.

Best performance per dollar is an outright lie given the price of Vega 64's have been?

That's something scratching my head. Vega "blower" at 1576/945 is around 10% faster than 2070 at 1905/7001. (overclock by 30% on most model which are at 1620 boost)
Price wise Vega 64 has £330 (blower) or £390 (Nitro), compared to £450 of the cheapest 2070.

Yet the 5700XT at $450 (£440ish) is again 10% faster than the 2070!!!!!!!! Ofc we do not know which 2070. A 1620 boost clock one of a 1905 overclocked one.

Which makes the Vega 64 a bargain. Sure FidelityFX looks awesome, however I do not see an upgrade path for those having a Vega 64 other than the Radeon VII. :/

And while I always thought that the 5700XT would be parity with a Vega 64 kind of thing, the hype about the pricing got me thinking AMD might go all in for Crossfire.
So I might have bought two 5700XT's to go with the 3900X.

Surely it's good that your Vega 64 is future proofed until next gen.

Lets say your Vega 64 breaks and it's now out of warranty, what do you do?

And I wouldn't exactly call it future proof. Sure it's absolutely fine, but if you want more performance at 4K for example, your only option is Nvidia (Or a VII before the stock disappears) neither are great options.
