Yeah the more I look at to the more unimpressive it gets and it never started great to begin with. Unless those numbers are lower than reality. We will find out soon enough.

They do like to move tiers up each generation nowadays.

My budget is around the 5070 and no chance I'll be getting that , 12gb and looks gimped, AMD has a real chance , I don't care much for fake frames, and fsr4 is looking promising add in 16gb , the performance leaks now depends on the pricing

It seems the rumoured performance would back that assessment up.

15% - 20% average uplift from previous gen is well below the usual 30% - 40% we get. That numbers above (if true) would mean the 40% uplift is spread across two SKUs.

Though let’s wait for reviews to finally decide.

Good points. The non XT could be an absolute price/perf killer. It could almost match 5070 for a lot less money and with 4GB more VRAM. I don’t think the faster GDDR7 will make a difference and neither will special sauce compression routines.

The only caveat is how the idiots at AMD price them. Let’s hope they didn’t hold fire on their announcement because they got wind they are more competitive than they thought they would be.

I still think under $650 is practically guaranteed because of the 5070Ti being almost like a sanity check for AMD.

I’m sorry but the 5070 at $550 and 12GB in 2025 is aimed at idiots. I can’t be nice about that GPU at all.

The RTX4070 has a 60 series sized chip and should have been an RTX4060TI 12GB at best. The RTX5070 is more of the same and needed to be under £500.

It's definitely one to keep an eye on. I've been holding off building my first system in 10 years and my budget isn't daft.

1440p gaming with as many bells and whistles as I can get below £1500. A decent card at £600 would fit into that very nicely.

That puts the 9700 XT about 15% ahead of the 7900 XTX, 4070 Ti RT in Cyberpunk is what we expected so.... as expected, if the price is not too high this is decent.

If amd comes in with a good price the 9070xt can be a bully and take the 5070's lunch money. It looks like they got the 5070 beat for performance, unless gamers buy into the whole 4x fake frame crap, but assuming gamers care about real performance then the 9070xt looks like it has the edge, now it just needs a great price. I still think they need to come in $100 cheaper than the 5070

Announcement date rumours seem to be firming up for the 15th too. Can't wait!

Althought the price and FSR4 details will be the only definitive thing. I bet there'll be some frame gen tomfoolery and indistinct bar graphs.

They are unlikely to announce it with just 3 days notice. I reckon we will get an announcement of an announcement date.
