*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

We've had this before and Nvidia sold in record numbers.

The 4070 was 27% faster than the 3070 for 25% more money, at least this moves the needle on performance per $, right? Everyone be happy.
Yeah but only like 5 people got 3000 cards at MSRP. Prices have never been the same since.

Nvidia have now confirmed that the 5070 Ti & 5070 are only 20% Faster Than 4070 Ti & 4070.

Hope that's a typo as they 4070 has long been replaced by the Super, so if 5070 = 20% faster than 4070, then it's 5% faster than the Super at the same price?

9070 looks good TBH, AMD will screw up the pricing again though. £499 or below is where they NEED to be, or people will just ignore it.

Honestly it's starting to look like that AMD may have thought Nvidia had more in the bag so they "couldn't compete" if they are going to perform as the rumours they could easily compete with the 5080 if they pumped more power in it.

Going by reddit cards are being delivered to stores, some have a few box pics up to prove it.

So we know next to nothing about the cards but stores are getting them.
Interesting 'launch' from AMD, lets seee how it plays out.

Just reading some older 7900 GRE reviews, practically a 6950 XT which could be had for £550 iirc 2 years ago? If the 9070 None Xt is around this morning, needs to come in around £379 imo with lower power, better features, better RT. Think that would be a great 1440p card. If the Xt is matching 7900XT it’s only looking to be 15% faster… wonder if we can do a BIOS flash with these cards

It's not really apples to apples to compare it to RDNA3 though, as the RT performance is apparently much improved, which is what brought them down alongside Ada.

Also leaks have it closer to the 7900xtx than the xt in raster. We'll see.

If it's close to this I'm almost certain to bite if the price is not crazy

Then it's likely the launch will be on the next day after the announcement with possibly reviews on the same day.

It this is the case, and it's around £500 then i'll be there day one!

It's certainly getting interesting.

With the 5080 looking like it's only 15% faster than a 4080 (non super) with the same VRAM and £1k, if AMD can deliver 4080 raster with 4070ti RT and FSR4 up to DLSS standards for £500... I need to have a lie down.

If the above is true then it'll never be £500. Maybe the MBA will as that looks to be a bit weaker in performance. AIBs may well be around the £600 mark. Which I would pay, definitely if it competes with the 5070ti and is less than 20% behind a 5080.

How much extra is MFG and 15% performance worth?

Surely AMD learned something from the last few launches. I genuinely think AMD have something special. They just need to get the launch and the pricing right.

There's so much disappointment with Nvidia on the socials at the moment so it's the perfect time for Radeon to have a "Ryzen" moment and start gaining market share.

Agreed. They simply need to get it out there fast, preferably before the 5080 and definitely before the 5070/ti, and not match either of those prices.

If everything we're hearing is true then Nvidia have really slipped up. I don't think gamers want overpriced midrange GPUs with confusing software gimmicks and marketing-speak.

AMD just need to state raw performance in raster and RT, say FSR is banging now, price it sensibly and say it's out before the end of Jan.

In and out, home in time for Antiques Roadshow.

I did read on one of the leaked boxed image of a the 9070XT where the poster had stated they believed a 24th/26th but officially announced two days before which ever date it was. Pinches of salt required though.

If stores are getting them which seems to be the case it could even be one of those 'available now' lauches to coincide with some sort of stream or announcement video, which would be a first for amd in quite some time, possibly ever as far as I can remember.
